Being a chemical Egnr. and a water treatment expert i would suggest to buy a pH meter during the descaling process of radiator. add HCL 10% solution in water and top up radiator. make sure pH of water do not go down below 2.5. Circulate system for about 30 mins. then its time to neutralize system. drain all water from radiator. its pH will gradually increases due to the deposits. add Caustic soda in water 10% and maintain pH at around 10-11. circulate water for 15-20 mins. then flush with demin water.. You are good to go now..

Grind to a halt then poured some water over the rad to cool it down fan was out of order and I was 3kms away from home after letting it cool down made it back to home and found auto switch wires were cooked

I am not saying to drive the car on H mark. I am saying that if temperature switch is not working incase of overheat the needle will not come to H mark even when the engine gets shot.

a faulty temperature guage can ruined your engine.. and i dont know if these guages in mehran works absolutely accurate or not,..

They never work if you run it on water, they will at most rise 3/4th when it should be on H mark, the very faulty ones never go beyond even 50%... in cars which have been running on water since a decade...

To update on my Car. My Alto is running great in 43 Degrees in karachi with Auto Fan, thermostat, coolant with AC

just make sure you keep changing coolant at 40K or one year which ever comes first...

car was boiling and it shut off and temp was on C

And the added benefit of not having to worry everyday about - holes in radiator, "paani check karo" and other random stupidity related to it.

i am thinking to Flush my Cars Radiator..and fill it with coolant..i have some questions... firstly what is this thermostat valve and Flange..!!! its necessary to remove?? how is the procedure please need help on this...!!
second...if i put soda mixture in Radiator it will not harm..!! as you said you have started the car for 30 mins.. and from were you get Tatri..!!! what is this !!..please need Help on this...and my car is 2.OD 2c Diesel...

Bhai can we use Zic Coolant (the green one) in Hyundai Santro? Its silicates won't mess the water pump and stuff?

thermostat valve restricts the flow of coolant through the radiator when engine temperature is cold and once engine temperature reaches it optimum range it allows the coolant to flow through the radiator thus maintaining optimum temperature. therefore you have to remove it before flushing.

Flange is the housing in which thermostat fits

therefore get the thermostat removed. flush the radiator with tatri solution, then flush again using baking soda solution. then rinse multiple times using water, ensure radiator is good (not choked and not leaking), remove all water, re install thermostat, add ZIC diluted coolant

Update on my car.
These days my Dad only drives the car and that to occasionally. 140km per month approx as I m now out of country on Job. Radiator, thermostat, coolant and AC still going strong. No issues yet, no coolant level drops by he Grace of Allah

No coolant drop level
No over heating issues
Thermostat and auto fan working great in the heat of karachi
No rust as well

Only concern is when I poured the coolant 15 months back ZIC that is. It's expiry was 1 year written on the bottle. Now it's more than 1 year and I am unable to change the coolant as I am not in Pakistan. And I don't want anyone to touch my cooling system because of the effort I made to restore the cooling system my self.

I changed zic after 1 year
Then went for toyota genuine coolant its been 16 months and its still good.
