During my absence gasket was changed once, valve removed by the mechanic, radiator is still the old one.
Lets see what surprise i will get.

Where is deionized water for car radiator sold in karachi. Anyone? Please don't suggest AC water as already have that.

This is why I always recommend caltex coolant, its OAT and has a service life of 100,000 kms or 5 years.

That caltex coolant states on it that its good enough for 250k kms which i think is bs. I would rather go with 100k kms. Heck coolant is cheap to change at 100k kms not a big deal.

what do u suggest to use for diluting the prestone/prime longlife coolant (Ethylene Glycol Based). normal bottled water like nestle or sparklets or aquafina has gone through reverse osmosis. i understand its not mineral enriched water. can we use it for diluting the coolant?
or better still what procedure do u suggest to use for making distill water ourselves?

I guess you are not taking battery tonic for that.....

there are just plain water bottles and the tonic.....i see no reason why would a distilled deionised water with TDS less than 20 is not supposed to be used in making coolants

to verify...check TDS of that thing....LOW TDS water is recommended ...if u cannot find anything then plain R.O water can be used with low TDS

Aquafina Nestle Comes with TDS 180-200 last time i checked..

your local office home bottle Supplier ..R.O watter supplied water had 100-110 TDS....use that if u wont find any lower TDS water

Battery water sometimes are a acidic in nature.

Thats why i am asking de-ionized or de-mineralized water for battery !

I know the airforce has a setup that produces such water for their aircraft batteries, But thats another story.

Deionized..w .o acidic..plain distilled is available too...for topup.. as i mentioned

the tonic and deionized plain distilled water are two diff things...

can be used after filtration...since it can contain alot of big dust particles so using as it is not recommended unless you are 100% sure of it being clean...just pass it through some decent filtration layer and its much much better than tap and mineral water

TDS meter can be bought from market or that R.O selling shops had it....u can check from them..its handy as size of highlighter pen

self tested, tds approx 3 ppm.

use with concentrate coolant to make 50/50 mix

it was name which confuses people.....tonic had 3ppm TDS which means its complete distilled with nothing in addition ...

i personally didn't check any of these but i know that its available....

AGS tonic is easily available and if it can be used to dilute the coolant it would be great.
