haha danish bhai Jo Baat Hai , well some qurries in my mind need to ask from you have been travelling so long and learn many things from your mistakes so would you guide me give me some tips regarding to trekking n hiking what precaution should i take while trekking what kind of food you prefer to eat? how you manage washroom problem n if there is anything left let me know as well

advice yehi hai,,, go through text (books and relavent information not internet) in detail before going to any region. you must be knowing geography of region, a little history and some how general behaviour of people around there.

faqeer admi hun yaar, i usually try local and fresh foods, on longer treks and expeditions, tin food is the only option. or you may prepare dry meat back in home before leaving for expedition.

every region, every trek has different level of preperation. it is almost impossible to quote everything in one go. oh yeah you can go through one of my previous threads titles expedition requirements in pakwheels...

Expedition requirements

today i was making a check list for my expedition for which inshallah i am leaving next month thought to share this list with u fellows as well. perhaps this list may help some one else or some one can give me an addition or subtraction in this list. i normally divide an expedition into three parts 1. camping equipment 2. kitchen equipment/ food 3. personal stuff Camping Equipment: Rucksacks (each member has to bring his own) Tent matresses (each member has to bring his own) sleeping bags…

list is long,, u can alter it according to nature of ur plan.

Agreed. I have taught my family to collect garbage in one bag while traveling and when we stop somewhere, throw it in proper place. You see, charity begins at home. If we teach our children the moral values, future will be good.

that seems "being selfish" but in my point of view, i am against road building since ages due to same aspect. i have written an article .. part of which is :

Civic senses end where road reaches...
I have seen Muree deteriorate.
I witnessed spoiling of Kaghan valley.
I bear the pain of seeing Mallamjabba n Mingora losing their charm.
My extreme north of pak was civilized. Educated ones n humanitarian. News are reaching that something bad initiates there as well.
What was the reason of this harm...
I am known to that Muree where on mall i roam alone or could see only one or two others. Locals were extremely helpfull.
I have passed a night in a mosque in naran coz there was no hotel n i reached late (at 8 pm) no one was on road. It took 16 hrs to reach naran (1989). I reached babusar top after walking 3 days n it was tranquil up there (2003).
Distruction of swat is not an old story. Gun powder takes away the humanity as well.
One ordinary factor among all these happening is birth of highways n ease of access. But it is the right of local population. And its not they who spoiled every thing. They were living there since ages.
The problem lies in us. Who live in cities full of universities n educational institutions. We, the literate n wearing white collars think that we are educated cause we have degrees from prestigious universities.
Hello educators n policy makers... hello managers of our so called civilized society. Wake up... come on n see wat kind of society you are building and what kind of education you are providing. Where ever we reach we spoil that region and also the people of that region.
O policy makers and decion takers wake up. Its actually your mistake that we think, we are literate ones but we are not actually. And its your mistake that we think that man wid dirty clothes with knowledge of centuries in heart is illetrate.
I wish that road building may end until we get real education and stop invading every place that has charm in her.

Yes Exactly! asattar1995 Brother! Mine too, its even my son habit also that whatever he eats he take all of his garbage in a big shopper that is every time available in my driving seat pocket, and then dispose off when look proper place.

i am preaching the same thing since decades, have carried out multiple cleaning expeditions... but now,,, i am disappointed. problem lies somewhere else.

problem lies in the basic upbringing of our whole society. we contribute nothing to society and hope for a good future.

one solution that i am doing is passing time with kids of 10 to 15 years of age in gali mohalla and whereever i can...
trying to involve them in healthy activities like gardening or sports and ethics of living...
we are the spoiled age, our youngsters may be civilized if we practically educate the little ones. and i am sorry, we (as a whole) are not doing so.

You are correct. To change society behaviors we have to change ourselves first, our living environment first, our own moral values first. Your way of educating the kids is great. If we all think like that, a better society can be achieved.

May be due to time constrains of the Pakwheelers. For me, its a destination which is in my wishlist for so long time. Kaash, mujhay 10 din ki vacations milen aur mein foran pohanch jaun with family, kaash !!!

This is all due to many of pakwheelers leave this forum. bcz they all shift to FB and those who are here most of them are keen to travel not trekking or hiking so who bother to inquire you about this marvelous trek and related stuff.
i am a keen trekker. did many small and medium treks from last 3 years. my all time inspiration is @asifcae. he is a real trekking guru here and he is the one who still stick to this forum to promote trekking and tourism.
with all due respect @conflicted sir you are another mentor to me. i read many of your old threads here. and this one is another addition and source to the nature loving and trekking community who didn't did this trek before for sure.
as i think and consider responsible of littering and spoiling of the natural places are all of tour operators. they just looking for their business.
