Also cannot forget to mention the Safarnama boy. Asad Niazi is a good writer and has plans to write a safarnama on this tour. The diary was gifted to him by Chikna bhai. Last pic shows his trademark "thumbs in the pocket" style.

There were wonderful scenes all around as we left PTDC Rama for Deosai. Weather was a bit cloudy. Greenery, height, snow covered peaks and cultivation was making the scenery out of this world.

As soon as we crossed the Thakot Bridge, i was busy in capturing a landscape when suddenly an army soldier appeared from nowhere and stopped us. With some angry expressions on his face, he asked me to delete the video which i was making. I replied with a bleak voice, "uncle mene to sirf picture li hai, video to nahi banai." with more anger on his face he said "jo bhi banaya hai usko delete karo shabash". I said, "Kar di hai bhai" Then he said "main to tumhain chor raha hun, koi aur hota to camera torr deta" with disbelief in my mind i said "bari mehrbani bhai jaan"

Then he asked us to prove our identity, get entry on their hisab kitab wala register and allowed us to go.

All are more or less deputy managers. Some organizations use G1, G2, G3 designation system while others have normal AM, DM etc. Since we all are university class fellows and started our jobs together, we are all at same level, almost. The exception is Usama who went to IBA Karachi for MBA. He is DM but is much more paid than us

I didnt enter Chilas city as we moved ahead through the bypass. In astore I didnt see any ATM. In Hunza/Gilgit there are branches of a lot of banks with ATM machines.

The road was in good condition in this area with a few bad patches offcourse

Approaching Gorikot where we took a short break for fuel top-up. The team was in full energy while Kofta bhai was having some problems. Nature was calling him but he was resisting. Coz there was no public washroom on this road

Kofta bhai was in serious tension while i was having a dream time on high altitude with Chikna bhai.

The greenery was good at some sports while there were a few areas near the Tarashing Morr where there was no greenery at all. The water of the Astore Nalla was crystal clear now.

The route was very scenic with some very beautiful villages at the river bank.
