planning to visit Mehmood carburettor in the morning. Just a question: are different sized jets for Khyber available now? I overheard Irshad saying that "iske carburettor mein tou slow ka jet hai hi nhi".

Make sure irshad is not confusing the electric cut solenoid (taaron wala jet) with the slow jet,

Most mechanics make that mistake, without a slow jet your engine would refuse to idle as fuel would literally be dumping into it. Its in the middle of the carb and looks like a tiny flute.

The manifold faces on the head are also supposed to be checked by mechanic or machinist and reconditioned for good seal, a warped exhaust side can blow your headgasket too.

Most dont do it now as owners dont want it done due to expense, all studs are also replaced at the same time too.

yes, he went to the old shop and the work was done by Afzals big brother who has been looting public.
i had myself tested him to get an estimate of car which had only minor suspension work. he gave the estimate of full repair which was too much.

these danda shocks are not expensive. its better to get them replaced with new ones.

the repair work should be done for cars whose danda shocks are either expensive or not available in market.

I was still losing coolant and I wondered where was it going. There it is.

carefully check all pipes tubes their tie clips / jubilee clips. as zulfiqar sab mentioned number of times that jubilee clips chew the hose ends. The coolant is lost as steam under pressure such leaks are hard to trace due to evaporation.

Went straight to Irshad. He said there might be a very small leak in water jacket on the head as this milky mixture wasn't found in the dipstick or anywhere else. He said I should continue driving

Guess you were right. He referred to that in the desi language. The carburettor guy identified saying that its missing the "bijli ka switch". Bought it.

At Mehmood carburettor right now. He has dismantled the carb and will do a complete overhaul. However, attitude problems. He is reluctant to tell what sized jets would he install. Upon asking, he said let me do it my way. Agar aap ko zyada pta hai tou phr....

Due to this behavior issue, Gentleman keeps themselves aside silently.

Also instead of going to Abdul Hameed Sons or Afzaal, now i am preferring
S.K Engineering (Arif Bhai) for Suspension related works

Sab ka yehi haal hay. Anyone who do works well and we started to praise them and recommend them as per our experience, then such issues get started, They keep young boys as Labors/ Helpers and that party damages the reputation.

@capsat also informed sometimes ago that Abdul Rehman Caburettor at Tariq Road also had similar feedback.

Also heard some good reviews about Carburettor wala near Sohrab goth at Abul Hasan Ispahani Road, i went there but he also used excuses like Carburettor parts of Club Cultus is not available in market. Also seems not willing to share jet number or jet details (seems like Secret recipe of some Fast Food).... so this category is more or less same.

Also heard Abdul Rehman Carburettor wala is famous at Shah Fasial Automotive market near Airport/ Malir. Might be he is different or same owner of Tariq Road branch

remove the tappet cover, there is a welch plug on the cylinder head near cyl 2 facing upwards, use a thin screwdriver to poke it, it should be solid metal, if it caves in, thats your leak. I had already mentioned that you need to replace all of these plugs, there are 1 or 2 on the manifold too.

The size of the jets can be had by a genuine suzuki parts shop. I used to have a small diary where I wrote this information, but because its been more than 15 years since I referenced that book, I dont even know where it is.

Yes i got all the welch plugs changed.

If I find the leakage there,can it be fixed as it is or the head needs to be dismantled?
