the fault was the bearings, we'd forgotten to swap them out when we redid the car and they were a quick swap. i got the entire set with covers, grease and labour for 1610 rupees.
the wood was a disaster, only reason i did it was for an idea of what this stuff woudl look like in an orange car. will be redoing it soon with much better results. the middle piece is actually where the stereo will go so that piece isn't really important.

slowly the 1303 is becoming what it was intended to be,.. if not better. at least now people are starting to respect the VW type 1 for what it is (thanks to romano)
