sadly that is one of the many things i forgot to get on my trip to europe, but there is a rumour that this stuff is available in LHR and KHI, will be fitting them and some plastic waterproofing sheets to the doors and rear panels of my car soon.

^being the UK, you should have seen the bill that came with it,... LOL!! Had to sell both kidneys, half of my brain, one nut, one arm and a leg to clear the payments.

LOL!! Yeah true, you probably wouldn't been better off buying a beetle, stripping it up, take whatever you require and then selling the remains that you dont need lol.

^well said, i tought about it when i was in the UK but the time constraints (and the fact that mine is LHD) were a nightmare so i just made a few calls ot SSP and had all the stuff delivered to my house.

I'm surprised i have not heard from asad and the rest of the VW clan,.. was expecting some form of feedback from them.

Went a last week to get the front suspension bushes fit, was a tight fit but eventually they all went in a treat (alot better than the modified civic bushes i had in there before).

Here is khalid persuading the old stuff out

Next i did a bit of interior work at home, well i thought it was a little work but it took me 2 days just to get the seat bushes to fit perfectly as the seats had been modified slightly due to weart and tear. At least the front mounts were still perfect so the grommets went straight on them.

Later it was time for me to address the problem of the missing front bumper seals. unfortunately i managed to damage my thumb that day so i stopped working on the car as soon as i got the bumpers back on.

Now i've fit the door panels,

New battery clamp

New wiper grommets

New grab handles and covers

New sun visors and clips

Brand new fire extinghuisher,

And finally my short shifter

thanks, hopefully once the rear bushes are all in, my alignment is done and the engine rubbers/seals are in i'll get her back on the road. after that i'll get all the small things done from time to time.

what i'm really tempted to do is get a stereo for it now, but that is a "shushka" and i'd rather get her mechanically set before i do anything like that.

Im alive tho tied up with some issues which prevent me for giving time for the long postings I want.

I found out that the windscreen i was going to get has gone so now i'm looking at a used one which is in much better shape than the one i have right now,... now if only i could get the alignment done,....
