fit a replacement fuel return pipe, Liscence plate rubber gaskit, cleaned the vaccum unit, set my carb, adjusted the tappets, fit some missing rubber bungs in the engine bay, cleaned up the replacemtn water drain for the bonnet (spare), fixed the fuel line & filter, tightened all engine tinware, tighened all bolts in the engine bay and gave the engine a once over(Y)
car was running excellent, took it out for a run and within 50meters from my house i almost destroyed it due to some ch*tiya who decided to reverse his pajero out of a parking space without looking both ways, i had to swerve into oncomming traffic.
lucky for me the cultus which was heading in the opposite direction (doing approx 100) swerved onto the grass and avoided a collision otherwise tomorrow morning you'd have been saying your final farwells to me as he was headed in and i was doing 30 (impact would have been approx 130km/h). pajero driver ran off oblivious to the fact that he could have killed at least 2 people.
To the driver of the cultus, very sorry and thanks for not killing me. To the driver of the pajero, your time will come (Allah is always watching)
damage to my 1303 was a slipped spring in the brake drum as i kicked the pedal as hard as i could (habit from driving ABS cars).
