Rebuilding TRIUMPH HERALD 63 "ORIGINAL CONVERTIBLE" for my son (Spitfire)

We went to inspect rear right floor pan which was complete.....My son is inspecting....

Have a look at this pic .....showing thickness of the sheet metal to some extent of the new floor pan....But not much details about the design.....

See this pic.....Isn't it marvelous....showing complete details of original design......Just notice the neatness and sharpness crispiness of the grooves and curves ....such a photocopy of Original that ...it is bolted on the old floor with four bolts......The attaching point of fold able seat bracket....

As you know that All these project are "OPEN BUDGET" project .....just have a look at the above pic.....Which amount of money can justify this kind of "craftsman ship".....Any Any Amount....... for such work.....even then I feel not enough....
Same is the case with baoo....Will give him BMW tomorrow INSHALLAH and will share the results....

Actually this car suits my POOR BACK because of its smooth and springy ride unlike other roadsters...So no other option except to Keep it in pristine condition...Plus it gives a little classic looks which also suits my age......You know....:)...I am in my 50th year now....

There is absolutely no doubt about it that this is very best fabricated by ustaad. He surely has finest craftsman ship here and more importantly, he listens to you and understands what you want, that is what is most important.

And regarding distracting you, it is as easy as ice-cream

Oh yes....no doubt about it ...crown is far more comfy.....But we are talking about sports cars ......looking for comfort in two seater sports car....with convertible roof ...(roadster)....Available cars come in this category....

(1) Honda S 2000
(2) Mazda Miata......(first generation is my favourite)
(3) BMW Z3 and Z4
(4) Nissan 350 Z convertible
(5) Mercedes SLK
........Ist choice Miata....not available....Second BMW.....prefers Z3 on Z4....so that is some statistics ...crown belongs to different class....

Cmon dear......:).....I belong to the category.....who lives in villages....cultivate the lands,...drink the milk of own cow or buffalo......like to sleep and eat on ground....prefers to eat own vegetables ....etc etc....very simple and basic life....But all these things are dream now.....we are surrounded by luxuries and not necessities of life....every thing is unnatural and artificial .....Our kids are conscious of the model of the car going to drop and pick them from schools and colleges.....These two door cars are one of the many things I described above..I wish and like to make and keep my life as simple as possible .....but we are carried away in the flow of our unnecessary and unnatural desires.....I am also one of the victims....

I am going throughout OFF TOPIC in this session ....I apologize for that ,but you know sometimes you don't feel like talking something technical ....like we are supposed to do in this section .....:)...
As I am already violating the rules and regulations of this forum......
So lets deviate a little more.....
I love to read and listen to Sufi poets.....Baba Bulley shah is one of the favorites....In one of my above posts .....I wrote Kay "AB HAMARAY DIN HAIN ALLAH ALLAH KARNAY KAY TASBIH PAKAR KAR"
A Kalam Of Baba bulay shah flashed in my mind regarding my own statement.....With your permission ,let me share it with you brothers.....

Lets go back to our topic.....

As our new fabricated floor pan was bolted in place above the old one , I asked Zahid to remove it So I may take more pics of this masterpiece and share with you brothers....
So being unbolted....

Ok....now here it is......compare the two ......old and new one .....do you feel any difference ????

Notice the details....placing and shape of the grooves ...exactly same ...very difficult panel to fabricate because of odd bends and curved....but see ...how beautifully made....don't forget its 18 gauge steel sheet ...and its hand made...No press...
Which amount of money can justify this "craftsmanship".....I don't know...
