Thanks dear....I am ok....was busy in some family commitments.....work started again on herald ...though not in very favourable environment.....

Some previous pics remaining to post of the same right rear floor pan.....

And this is our fabricated hand made floor pan in 18 gauge steel sheet.....please pay attention to details and crispiness of the panel .....compare it with the above posted pic of old panel....

This is just a surface rust which is due to moisture in the air .....The plan is to make all the panels we intend to replace .....and after completion of all panels ,will cut the old ones and replace with new ones ...... So like this,these new panels will have to wait ,to be fitted in place...To avoid rust in the meanwhile ,we have already primed the finished panels (temporarily)...after fitting them in place ,they will be rubbed to shiny metal......primed and joints sealed ...and painted again...you will see them primed in coming pics....

oh i understand now, btw sometimes i see that rust develops under the paint, usually in repainted cars, what can be the possible reason

multiple factors ....surface not prepared properly,concealing some rust under the paint ,which grows,quality of primer /paint, Environment in which paint work was done,moisture trapped ....etc etc, etc ....And most important .....your luck ... when you get your car repainted....
