Recommended OIL for Toyota Corolla!

Use kixx pso 5w 40 would cost u with filter 4100rs and do at least 7k with it. Early draining is also harmful because of detergent in oil to clean engine. I have used 20w 50 till 27k in my corrolla .

finally i have changed the previous oil toyota petron 20W50,,,, after a lot lot lot of research....
right now using,,,,, Mobil 2000, 10W40.....its 2700 rupees for 4L.

lets C what would be the results......

i am planning to put this oil two times.......
then i will change to
Mobil 1 , 5W50.....

what u guys suggest......

You could have gone directly to 5W-50 it's actually thicker then 10w-40 and fully synthetic won't harm

But step in the right direction, hope you have felt a difference

No brother,,,, its just that i want to shift my car to Mobil1 5W50...
so suddenly putting 5W50 in the car,,,which is already using 20W50,, will be more harmful...

[h=2]MIXING MINERAL AND SYNTHETIC OILS[/h]Here's the current thinking on the subject of mixing mineral and synthetic oils. This information is based on the answer to a technical question posed on the Shell Oil website:
There is no scientific data to support the idea that mixing mineral and synthetic oils will damage your engine. When switching from a mineral oil to a synthetic, or vice versa, you will potentially leave a small amount of residual oil in the engine. That's perfectly okay because synthetic oil and mineral-based motor oil are, for the most part, compatible with each other. (The exception is pure synthetics. Polyglycols don't mix with normal mineral oils.)
There is also no problem with switching back and forth between synthetic and mineral based oils. In fact, people who are "in the know" and who operate engines in areas where temperature fluctuations can be especially extreme, switch from mineral oil to synthetic oil for the colder months. They then switch back to mineral oil during the warmer months.
There was a time, years ago, when switching between synthetic oils and mineral oils was not recommended if you had used one product or the other for a long period of time. People experienced problems with seals leaking and high oil consumption but changes in additive chemistry and seal material have taken care of those issues. And that's an important caveat. New seal technology is great, but if you're still driving around in a car from the 80's with its original seals, then this argument becomes a bit of a moot point - your seals are still going to be subject to the old leakage problems no matter what newfangled additives the oil companies are putting in their products.

Brothers indus introduced new oil taglon which is 5w-50 what u guys suggest is it good to use in gli engine 1300cc? What u guys say some ppl say that the engine is of old technology so its not recommended to use 5w-50 in it pls suggest.
My car is 1200kms driven and i want to change oil as early as possible and next ill change oil at 5k and than will maintain 5k interval. Dont want more 20w-50 running in my car.
Specifically reviews on Taglon 5w-50 which toyota is offering.

Why u don't go for Mobil1 5W50, its about 5300 rupees 4L.

I am using Mobil Oil 5W50 synthetic oil since i purchased my car in 2010 and changes oil after 10000 Kms. Never felt any issue with, and the main thing is car gets smooth.

Going more than 5w30 will reduce fuel consumption. Stick to 5w30 or 10w30. For gli.
I m using 5w40 fully synthetic nd avg is 13.5

Avoid Hyundai Xteer It Seizedup My Corolla Engine

Dear Friends I recently had a bad experience with hyundai xteer engine oil which i want to convey to other mates in order to save their cars. I put hyundai xteer in my corolla 2009 one month ago and now my engine is seizedup i went to the workshop again but they are denying this fact even one of the hyundai employees disconnected my call after hearing this complaint. DONT BE FOOL TO USE SUCH PRODUCTS!

For new cars...use only 0w-30 it is the best...Recommended oil for all new engines...
I'm currently using this oil in my 2012 corolla Gli

Oil quality depand on the engine maintenance and service....0w-30 for new cars...till 40000 mileage...and above on...you can change oil thickness to this mileage ratio..
and one thing...you can drive your car after 20-30 second from engine startup
