if owner is selling stuff which is on his own name, you just have to check online
else take copy to ETO for verification

@hash4u boss how the Market is setting the vehicle and bikes used prices? What makes them to demand for a particular price because people here demand more now a days then the invoice? Though new vehicle rates are increasing.

Brother no idea. Unfortunately, polices keep on changing here very frequently.

May be, the online, electronic system hasn't been updated yet, because as far as I know, non-filers can buy cars.

Try selecting filer in it, and see what does the total cost comes out?

Then from the other link, check the rates of taxes for filers and non filers.

From the estimated cost using the Calculator, replace the taxes, charges, etc. For filers with non-filers, and you might get some estimated amount.

It may also be noted that cost of price of car for Excise Department, may not be the one which costed you.

Like if it costed you 23 lac, excise people might put 19 lac in it, just as an example. In my case, their cost was less than the cost of car, which I payed.

They usually calculate it from some document(s) which you submit to them, while registering the vehicle.

basit bhai how the excise ppl pull out engine number when you went for car registration as it is not mentioned in any of the documents. did they manually noted it from the car in inspection?

When I submitted forms and documents, I had already noted the engine No. I do not think exact engine No. Was mentioned in any of the original, official docs.

The inspector physically checked and counter verified with the one, which I had mentioned in my application form.
