Replacing my Rear Speakers. Recommend me Some speakers which can be run w/o amp

I have JVC DRVN CS-V6948 "4 way speakers" which I used to run on 4 channel amp with components then I added GT5 sub so I am not using the speakers on that amp. I wont buy another amp for the sub or rear speakers so I want to replace the rear speakers. Is this a right step or shoud I connect my current rear speakers to pre itself? I am a noob so I dont know how they would sound without amp or how the new non-amp speakers will sound with components connected on the same time. Help me out please. I have SQ setup so advice me according to that. Thanks!

rearspeakers wdout amp means theyll go haywire and ruin everything..u cannot control them..
either use an amp and set the gains so they dont interfere wd the components..or else remove them..

If I add another amp that too 2 channel because of less price as compared to mono then I will have to upgrade the battery too. I have hankook 40 maintenance free battery.. and secondly 6500f doesn't have output for another amp. Sorry if I sound stupid

another amp would hook up with the pre not with the amp..

the ideal situation is to remove the front stage as suggested by many..
however running a rear stage isnt forbidden but being close to the rear passenger's ears u have to tune it such so it doesnt cause ear aches and doesnt interfere wd the components..
i dun think u need to upgrade ur battery..proper grounding wud be sufficient...run the sub on the 2 ch amp on bridge mode and the speakers on 4 chanel..

Just get a 4 channel amp and connect the speakers to it

Brother 2 channels of AMP should power front components and rear 2 channels should be in bridge mode to power SUB.

You need a rear fill without AMP Pioneer 6965 are good speakers.

What headunit do you have ?

Brother not a SQ unit at all.

Cant u find any old school Pioneer 9350, Kenwood X7013U or Alpine 9886 used.

Are u using the fader of Pioneer for rear speakers or is it neutral ?

run fron comps and gt5 sub on amp. use the rear speakers as a fill in only. they will work fine powered direct from the pre up to a certain level but will distort at higher volumes. so run em on pre if you must but for good sq, get a small 2 ch amp for em or remove em altogether.

Do u have some cheap 2 channel amp available? If not please suggest me some amp? How about going for rockmars 2 channel, they aren't good enough I know that but will they do the trick?? I will get them real cheap in used for like 2500... what do u suggest?

i have an alpine 2 ch amp but it requires a power plug. maybe you can find it or maybe you can get the wires soldered direct to the board. for sale for 3.5k
Alpine 3523 2 channel amp made in japan... sthg around 40X2 watts rms and sthg around 150 watts on bridge.

Ok so here's what I have planned to do. I will sell my rear speakers and my components (JBL 650c) and upgrade my components. For rear I will buy some speakers which can be run on PRE, lets say low RMS speakers but wont run them until and unless somebody is on backseat so they can enjoy the music too.. PRE has option to turn thm off and on. How about this?? I hope this is not insane.

If tyhis sounds good then suggest me Components in 10k range and some non-amp speakers in 3k range.

I am not using rear speakers at all.. I have sub installed so I remove the rears from the amp.

I dont quite understand.....Are you calling me a shop keeper?

If not then my advice stems from my personal current setup.

Which is a 4 channel Alpine F6 amp powering my front components and rear co axials.

An Alpine Mono M12 amp powering my Type R sub.

And so my HU does not power any speaker. Rather the rears and comps are powered by the F6 amp.

This setup is till I find the time to go active. Once active I will add one more amp which might just be for the front components.

Everyone has their own suggestions. YOu obviously need to research and make the best decision for you.

No no no way ... lol .. I just misunderstood u... I thought u r telling me to put all my 4 speakers and the sub on a single 4 channel amp and thats what shopkeepers do Sorry again mate
