1.About Cera Tec and Other LM additives, you can use them with any

Guys need some advise... got a cl7 and been using Mobil1 5w 50, since the last 2 years... change the oil after every 5000 km...that is after every 3 months. Oil filter is of Hamp.

Now all the hype about LM, has gotten me thinking on the following points for which i require ur expert advise.

1. keep using mobil1 and try the cera tech and other products from LM. (Should Start with which LM product)
2. Change mobil1 to LM (if yes then which LM Oil)
3. Do fuel additives really work or just waste of money. (As per 5thGear most of the fuel enhancer products reduce the engine output then increase it, and only very slight increase, non to existent where aplicable.

Q1 - Yes you can keep using Mobil1, its a good oil too and CeraTec can be used with all commercial motor oils.
Q2 - If you want to choose LM, then you have SynthOil High Tec Fully Synthetic Oil in 5W40.

In both above cases, changing oil at 5K kms is wasting money. Atleast make it to 8K kms. Or switch to LM SynthOil and drain oil after 12K kms with a change of oil filter in the middle.
Do flush your engine with the LM Engine Flush to get it clean, this way the new oil can perform even better. You should use flush at every 3-4th oil change.

Q3 - Yes they really work. And in regions like Pakistan where fuel quality is really pathetic, it is a much needed product. They helps in cleaning the fuel system, injections, cumbustion chamber, as well as protects the reservoir and other parts from corrosion. Plus it also upgrades the RON of the fuel and gives better combustion.
An internally clean fuel system will definitely give you better performance. And a good combustion will give good power. Both combining gives lesser pollutants and are kind to the environment.

15w-50 is not Semi Synthetic oil. If you have its specifications or data sheet please share with us.

my first experience with liqui moly dates back more than 8 years ago.

• for extremely old engines, it might do good or it might expose some bad mechanical problems that're covered up the the dirt n grime in the engine.

• for well maintained engines using non synthetic oils, it works wonders when it cleans up the engine.

• their injector cleaner works good too, results depend on whether your injectors were initially dirty enough or not.

All in all, its a good thing to use the engine flush if you're experiencing heavy vibrating engines, small misfires and bad cold starts.

Asalamalikum....i have cultus 2007 (non efi) 86000 kms done only on petrol...i m using zic oil ....should i use LQ oil for some improvement....???

Read the thread regarding Liquid Moly for the first time on PakWheel. Now since number of opinion on this thread were in favor of Liquid Moly so I had a decided to try this product. Recently I have experience, like my engine was running heavy on load. I had a regular Mineral oil change after every 5000km till 85000 mileages in total with car perfectly tuned. Car was Corolla 2007 GLi and is in tip top position. But even then I felt engine heavy like something that I don’t know is not tuned properly. Initially took my car to mechanic and asked him to test if something is wrong with Tappet settings. Corolla has hydraulic tappets which were cross checked by the mechanic where he told me that although they don’t require adjustment but in case he has tested the adjustments and found them to be right. So I though may be the makeup of this car is suppose to be like this. Recently went to purchase a liquid Moly Engine flush and Cera Tec but Cera Tec was not available in G-10 liquid Moly shop and eventually ended up purchasing MoS2 which is an oil additive from liquid Moly.

Once car was treated with liquid Moly engine flush then MoS2 was added with new oil and filter. Problem which I have been experiencing since a long time disappeared within seconds and since then I am enjoying the ride. Now I am posting my reply on this thread after a month of use and results are great. I don’t know what it did with the engine or was their really a blocked from inside which I was unaware about as mechanic told me earlier that engine looks clean and seems like no sign of any TAR.

Now my question is has someone tried Cera Tec, then what is the price of Cera Tec and what is the difference between MoS2. Is MoS2 also suppose to last for 50,000km. I purchased Liquid Moly engine flush for Rs 550 and MoS2 for Rs 530. Thing which I did not like about MoS2 is its black color as engine oil check stick shows a dark color inside the engine. Cera Tec seems to have a brown color at least would look better. May be points in last paragraph are not valid but that was my perception.

CeraTec is available in Rs.2000. It lasts for more than 50,000 kms. MoS2 effect last uptill the oil change as it particles gets drained out with the old oil at change.
MoS2 is greyish (a bit dark) in appearance, so this is perfectly normal.

I've tried ceratec, after engine flush i added ceratec with ZIC hiflu (20W50) mineral oil.I've driven about 500km after that but didn't feel any difference, instead my car(alto 2006) runs heavier than before:-(
ceretech color was brown and it turned into cream color when added in oil.its price is 2K for 300ml

ZIC is already decreasing its quality and you must havoline or any other good oil or higher quality oil of zic with ceratec..

Don't we have their dealer shop (outlet) here in karachi? why everyone is buying through contact numbers? iski kya guarantee hai k woh dealer hi hai aur original cheez dey raha hai? inka koi outlet nahi hai poorey karachi mein?
