DIY: AC Evaporator Service/Cleanup (without removal)
Referring to the above attached post, I wasn't happy with the condition of evaporator & wanted to give it a thorough cleanup, without damaging it or anything else.
First of all, removed the dashboard glove box, then removed air blower fan motor. It was dusty.
Cleaned it & placed it aside.
So this was the current condition of evaporator after the AC guy cleanup.
Before doing the cleanup, I removed the passenger front seat, then removed all the carpet & underlay from the passenger side.
Also covered the ECU with a piece of cloth, to protect it from water splashes.

AFTER cleanup
Although the cleanup was not as perfect as it should be, but I think its much better than before. Seems like next time, I should also use some coil cleaner on the coil for better results.
In the end, noticed a very minute air leakage from the highlighted joint, so added cork tape aka 'kachi rubber' for better insulation & to prevent air leaks.
Finally, everything is back now.
No idea about cooling improvement, car is parked since the DIY done.
