I pray to Allah for your health and successful achievement of both Spitfire projects. Insha Allah both Spitfires completed will be displayed in VCCCP Car Show 2010.

Rehan Bhai,I am really obliged for your kind words.I would love to attend VCCCP car show 2010 INSHALLAH.Hope every thing goes well...
I try to go in detail So you brothers may feel as if you are doing it yourself...
I tell you that the main enjoyment part of all this classic cars stuff is to make/restore them..Once they are made,all you can do is to maintain them in that condition and drive them occasionally..

The next thing which came off the car was "glass brush strip"which is towards inside of the glass..secured in place with the help of special locks...

Now came to outer weather strip...

There was not much space to remove the locks so decided to remove glass first...

First of all door glass guides...different cars have different setups...In case of spitfire, these guides are made of a special plastic which slides in steel channels...there are no rubber channels.....A bit different setup.

Front guide removed...
note in the following pic that this front guide slides into the channel...You can also see it removed from the glass base fitting (on the hand of "Raees".

And rear duide....again note that it slides over the steel channel....
These are very minor details...when ever you open a thing ,these details should be observed to fit it back in the original position....

Tried to remove glass now but no success....Steel channels have to be removed first...

Tried to remove glass now but again no success...outer rubber weather strip was not allowing glass base to come up.....

So glass was lowered to the base of the door to make room for the removal of outer weather strip locks....

Now there was enough space to insert screwdriver into the slot and weather strip locks were removed along with strip,,,in bad shape....became very hard due to age...will have to be replaced...
