So, the test drive didn't take place. Why? The battery was dead, the battery was kept on charging today at around 1 o'clock.

Tomorrow, tomorrow a test drive is going to take place NO MATTER WHAT!

If the battery is completely dead, the cables dont work. If somehow the car gets started by torching, the dynmo takes a load to charge the battery.

this is a very strange workshop indeed. If I were in Karachi, I would have driven a tow truck to retrieve said blue beetle from this place immediately.

COME ON, it takes half a stuck farts effort to source battery jump cables along with a battery, There are completely shabby workshops in Karachi who have giant 145AH batteries on standby just for this purpose.

Unless you plan to drive off immediately after the engine has fired you can work with the battery boost cables even if the battery is drained of all juice. Just leave the two batteries connected even after the engine in the car with the drained battery has started for a few minutes and the generator /alternator would take over without a problem.

FINALLY! After more than a year, Blue was finally drive-able!

We couldn't do it on Friday/Saturday because the left side rear wheel was jammed.

Anyhow, I finally took Blue for a test drive! I was beyond excited! Took a long drive around the PECHS area enjoyed the drive although I wasn't comfortable with the seat being jammed and all but what the heck I had fun. The only problems I was facing was that the shifting wasn't as smooth as it should have been and the rear was lowered (a tad too much)

Need to get a few things done before handing it over to the painter.

Here are a few pictures and a video I made for you guys, gave her a bath as well
