Its my pleasure that you brothers are watching these pics so deeply and in details....
I understand your point that if we see these jigsaw pieces together,they seem to be one piece.
But if you see the originals in detail , you will notice that different pieces are riveted together at some very odd angles....and at some places there are bending lines as you mentioned above..
I have tried to duplicate the exact design....used angle to join exactly exactly at the same places and angles....and used hinges at the place of "bending line" of the original design...
Probably I could not capture the complicated glove boxes in details...
I am thinking,which material can be used instead of hard board which can last long without sagging and deforming....
I understand your idea about half cuts at the points of bends...But I think that the remaining half would break when bending to very odd angles unless some reinforcement is used at the back of the joint....
