Waleed bro, wishing you the best of luck and choice on home-coming, let me just state on your above notions, that there's quite a difference of raw power of some 40-45 Hp's between an Xli/Gli and an Altis. Hence, no comparison here, the 1.6 does not struggle at all, yet "begs" for more weight on the pedal. I've never been satisfied with 1.3 in Corolla, purchased one in 2003 and sold with 300 kms odo right away in favor of the then SE Saloon.

Let me not project it as anything close to a BMW, but as a fully loaded budget, family sedan, you can't really ask for more in the sub Rs. 2 mil category of local cars. No "struggle".

As for your second question above, I can't say with surety on rain sensing wipers in standard version Altis. Plz try surfing the Indus site, yet I doubt that a price difference of abt 1. lakh or so would add only sun/moon roof. Maybe, maybe not.

Corolla Altis 1.6 fuel efficiency is best in all the models of Toyota Corolla. I have not calculated the average of my car in detail but i know one thing that my car traveled the distance of 110 KM with Fuel of Rs. 550.

Xli and Gli are not value-for-money cars anymore. City leads Xli and Altis leads Gli in this segment. i just badly hope i can manage this one

and honestly, if i were u, i wont drive this car above 100 km/hr for first 5000 kms. for further details abt this theory, please contact @stingray. it wud make a hell of a difference after first 5k. trust me.

Thanks. I just did a few spurs above 100 and then settled for 80-90kms average, not much of a speed-freak as such.

Rain Sensing Wipers are exclusive to Altis SR; they are not offered in Altis (without SR). I beleive they are now also giving Auto Dimming Back View Mirror (its not confirmed though). I personally would like to see dual Air Bags instead of these fancy features; its good that even Altis (without SR) has Driver Side Air Bag...but it would be "much" better to have Passenger Side Air Bag as well; if not in lower Altis trims; then it should be in Altis SR atleast!

Its just a myth; just drive the way you drive normally; ECUs of these modern cars learn quickly and engine adopts to your driving style timely...Follow the manual; use better fluids, fuel from good pumps and lubricants of better quality...and you are good!

its not a myth bro. i have case study of two brothers getting vti oriel 05 the same day from showroom, changing oil at same intervals. one of them started raping the car from day one, and the other drove his like "humans" till first 5000 kilometers. when both cars crossed their 10k, he raped one, even if driven with extreme care and ease, used to give only 8 km/liter in city, whereas the other one constanly gave plus 12, and the engine response of both the cars was WAY too different. aap mano ya na mano, it DOES make a lot of difference
