Road trip - Karachi to Quetta, Ziarat

Hello friends

i am planning to go to quetta, ziarat and other sight seeing places specially for snowfall in last week of December by road. I usually go on road trips every year so long drive is no issues, i never been to these places so need assistance from fellow friends. My tentative details as below;

Car : Honda City Aspire 1.5 (2014)
Probably 3-4 adults and 3 small kids (eldest in 7 years old)
Schedule :Last week of december

Questions:
Is this the right time to go there specially to witness snowfall
Is there any fog like situation like we see in Punjab in highways
what is the suggested route, what i understand good route is the RCD highway going straight.
Its around 700 km, at what time i should start from Karachi so safely i should be in quetta around 7 pm.
need suggestions to stay for petrol, food and rest rooms etc on way.
should i carry extra petrol with me
is it advisable to drive at night on this route
safety and security on way
need suggestion for night stay in quetta city
what are sight seeing places there other than ziarat and hanna lake

should i carry any additional things for car for snow or extreme cold weather.

Start your traveling time from khi around 7am
Short breakfast stay at winder
Roads are good and safe for family
after winder u can stop at Khuzdhaar for petrol n lunch.. there are many local petrol pump in khuzdhar but u will fill from PSO pump its only pump where u can get good petrol and it comes at right side of road...
From khuzdhar to quetta non stop u can reach around 7pm

Do read my thread. You can find your answers as well as the photographs of road in between Karachi to Quetta and Quetta to Ziarat. There is nothing much to be worried about.

I recommend you should start your journey by 5am to avoid heavy traffic on Hub road till Winder. Have a safe and pleasant journey brother.

I am afraid if I can reach till khuzdar in one petrol tank. My car usually consumes 12/13 km per litre on highway. I am thinking to refill from bela.

Road Trip - Karachi to Quetta

As Salam o Alaiqum guys I have been searching threads regarding road trip from Karachi to Quetta (by car) but was unable to find an appropriate one. So here, I took an initiative to post some of the pictures of my road trip with family to Quetta, Ziarat, Kuchlaq, Sanjawi and Dukki which went awesome. Well your car Honda City aspire should gives you around 16 to 17Km/liter on highway. I guess you can reach till Khuzdar at one tank or you may refill from Winder or Bela.

My Honda city 2006 gave me around 18 - 19Km/liter in my last trip (without AC).

Brother, I never achieved that mileage.
my city (2014) gives 7-8km per litre in Karachi city drive. Best mileage achieved is 14km per litre in motorway (LHR - ISB) at 100-110 km per litre.
Please consider its 1.5 liter auto transmission and 195-65-16 Tire size.

mein ney to hub pay tank full ki the or mein ney 1000 ka petrol alag CAN mein fill kia tha for safe side but meri car KHUZDHAAR tak chalay gaye the pir b petrol tha us mein ... 2000 mein refill hogaye the khuzdhaar say.

toyota gli the 2014 ... with a/c .. but ab to sardi ha to AC itna use nai hoga to u can easily reach

avoid local petrol on that highway that will ruin your engine... khuzdaar mein line say petrol pump ha but local...app PSO ka pump ha waha say fill karna

I will try my best to stretch till khuzdar. I got opinions that it's okay, not that bad.

You should also fill your raditor with "Anti-Freeze Coolant" ... Temperature in Quetta and Ziarat (at nigth) wil be around -3 to -7 and your raditor water might get freezed in that temprature.
