It was a nerve wrecking drive up the Kaghan valley not because the of the road but becaise it was after sunset and we drove in pitch darkness. At times wasnt sure where the road was. But overall, the road was better than my expectation except for a few really bad patches...had to be extra cautious as I didnt want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere in the night.
Anyway, we reached Khannian at around 9:15pm and wasnt sure how to cross over to the other side of the river thats where Pine Park Kannian was located. So we sent an advance party on foot to reccee the place with a torchlight and an emergency lamp to see if there really was a track and a bridge that would take us accross the river. Indeed there was an exit that led down to the bridge and slowly and carefully both cars edged forward and finally reached the place. The hotel was full of visitors enjoying their evening oblivious of what we had gone through to reach where we were. Shukar Alhamdolillah.
After we freshened up we setled down for dinner with the trusted mash ki daal and mix sabzi...and of course chicken karhai.
