Visited Neelum Valley in August 2014 with family. Stayed at Arang Kel for 4 good days and enjoyed the heavenly hill station. It was mesmerising. Lush fields, dense forests in the background, low clouds, natural flowers! On top of all that, we were gifted with a full rainbow as soon as we were done with the testing up-hike!
Most people go up and then come down the same day, which makes no sense to me. They reach there after multiple days of tough road traveling and strenuous trekking, and then rush back! To me it is waste of time, money, and effort.
I'd strongly suggest doing it slowly, while enjoying and appreciating what the nature has bestowed on us. You'll find it more beautiful than the photoshopped and carefully framed images on Facebook.
