As we had reached in the afternoon decided to trek towards Kumrat Abshar which was just 40-45 minutes walk away from the huts

After Absahr we had decided to go to Kala pani thats a Chashma 1 hr ahead of the abshar but couldnt find a jeep to go further as the jeeps normally came fully booked from forest entrance. Half party decided to go back and have some sleep while some of us went out to explore the area accros the river

Reached back to hut at around maghrib time but our friends who had came back to sleep in huts were not there. They came back after a long time and told us that they had ride on a jeeps roof to kala chashma.

Next day plan was to see Jaz Banda and Katora lake if possible. Started early morning towards thal from where we had to move towards jaz banda

Reached Thal and asked locals about time to reach Jaz banda and whether we can reach the trekking starting point on our hiace. Got different answers from different people for both questioins. Started with the hiace but just as we started at the first Kilometer realised that we cant take the hiace up. Came back and hired a Landcruiser for Rs. 6000/-

On the way to Jandri the base point for start of trekk to Jaz banda. Takes around an hour from thal to the base point

We were happy that we made the right decision not to take the hiace up towards jandri as the hiace could never have made
there bcoz of the steep and narrow road and cuts. Even the land cruiser was facing difficulty at some points going up there

Reached Jandri the base point for Jaz banda. Vehicles cant go beyond this point. had lunch there and started the trek

Jaz banda is a 3 hrs trek from Jandri. Mostly people start it in the afternoon stay at jaz banda and start the next day for Katora lake and further. As we were short of time we started early stayed at jaz banda and came back as we were planning to do Kalam as well but unfortunately cant do

Our guides chacha had a hotel at the top. stayed for a few minutes there. Guide told us that there is a waterfall nearby which will take 20-25 minutes to go down. We all started moving towards it but when we saw the way going there we thought we can go down easily but coming up back would be very difficult so some of our colleagues returned back and rested at Jaz banda top. I went down but did not go all the way down. Just stopped at a place where i can get a glimpse of the water fall

On our way back from the waterfall we all were so tires that we were making stops after taking 5-10 steps. was hell of a hike
