SehgalMotors.pk Scam-Broken Double Air Compressor

Hi all. I had good expectations from SehgalMotors.pk before buying their product. As others in comparison didn't offer a one year warranty, I went for their product.

So, I ordered a ”Maximus” Double Air Compressor, which was advertised in a yellow Maximus branded box. But I received no box and an unbranded product with no name.

They promised me a warranty for one year, I received NO warranty booklet inside the box.

The User’s Manual is cheaply printed and doesn't contain all the information you need to know to be able to connect the cables. (I had to Youtube it).

The biggest problem of all, the air compressor gauge is broken and is somewhat sticky below it like it's gummed together.

Now before anyone comes here and starts bashing me and says that they, in fact, have had a good experience with SeghalMotors.Pk, good for you. The experience hasn't been good for me, basically my Rs. 4,000 has gone down the drain.

I got nothing as they advertised it on their website, nothing at all. Unbranded, boxless product is what I received today.

I request the admins/mods to not delete this post. This will help other users to NOT fall for this scam.

My mistake basically. When these companies highly advertise their products everywhere a common man feels like they might be a reputable place to buy things.

They market maximus as pata nahin konsa imported brand hai. It has been made by Sehgalmotors themselves.

I contacted them just now, they claim to be willing to replace the product, their website said there is a 7-day return policy, so I told them that I wanted a refund.

I sent all the photos and my queries and demanded a refund, I don't want a replacement anymore, they basically lied to me. Their representative says to send my delivery info to their FB inbox, I did. Now, waiting for what will happen next.

If you are lahore based, get one from Metro Cash and Carry. I have a good experience with them as I bought an air compressor from there and its going good

I am based in Karachi. They are in Lahore. The representative I was talking to wasn't clear about how I will get my refund. All I heard was that I'm supposed to send this package to their address in Lahore and they will give me a refund, don't know how?

It's absurd how these people aren't even honest in their business, they are willing to send a substandard product and scam their customers.

Yes, I knew that Maximus is their made-up brand, they are basically relabeling Chinese products and reselling them on their name. But I felt as if it would be fine as long as there would be warranty and stuff. I totally fell for it...

My piece of advice, before buying something online you're not sure about, ask here on forums

However, I did ask about a similar product which was offered in PakWheel’s Auto Store and you can still see the ads of that Double Air Compressor appearing everywhere in Pakweels.

So, I asked the people here, all I got is a reply from a user which said that their experience has been ”good” with PakWheel’s Auto Store.

Fast forward, I contacted the PW AS guy behind that air compressor, now their air compressor was relatively cheaper than SehgalMotors’ AC. However, when I talked to that guy, he said that the product is unbranded, he did admit that unlike SeghalMotors. He further said that there is no warranty but 3 days return policy.

This is why I went for SeghalMotors because they offered a 1-year warranty.

I will see what I can do... I have been a victim of this scam and I don't want others like me to fall for this.

It is much better to buy it from a physical shop and do a beforehand test of that product prior to purchase.

which area of karachi? you can get ingco products directly from their main retailer on lawrence road.

several shops in hyderi, north karachi etc.... even plaza has several shops now.

Personally when I buy something from autohub, rather than ordering on website, I Contact autohub guy and he delivers products on market rates rather than on website rates

I'm from Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Bin Qasim Town Karachi.

So I was talking to their representative a little while ago, he said that they're willing to replace the defected part, they literally blamed M&P (the delivery service) for damaging it, even though the product was packaged in a cloth bag and foam box on top, covering everything...

However, the guy said that they will replace the whole unit, which means I have to ship the whole unit to them to get a replacement, this just cost me literal Rs. 800/= to get the shipment done from Karachi to Lahore.
