Selling Fortuner 2.7 Auto

I am looking to sell my Fortuner. Its market is pretty much dead. I m looking to sell it around 56lac. What are my chances of getting a good offer.

You wont get a offer as per your thoughts,either make your self ready to bare heavy loss,other wise keep it,as per my opinion it is not a good value for MONEY SPENT,but a good machine.Wish the price would have 3.5~4M by IMC.

I have got an offer for 5.2 million, but its a loss of 1 million for me I was thinking somewhere around 5.5 million but it seems thats not possible. Fortuner is a very uncomfortable SUV hence need to sell it

5.2 is a pretty good offer, you should go for it because I have seen them being sold around 5M rather lesser than 5M. You shouldnt wait for a sec while selling it for 5.2.

If you really want to sell it then take the offer. You won't get anything better than that. You are getting this offer because most of the people selling Fortuners bought it at 5.2 million price. When IMC raised it's price the sales dropped sharply and there are a few people who bought it at the increased price like yourself. Basically Fortuner is currently treated as 5.2 million car and by that standard you got a good offer. It's your fault that you bought it expensive
Don't expect the resale to increase in near future. I am sure IMC must be lobbying with the current Government to remove this tax in next budget and I believe there's a great chance that Fortuner's price comes down. It's probably the only car in this segment that was hit by the tax hike.

It is indeed a good offer. Sell it if you have to, but keep in mind your next move.. either A4, A6, C200 if you wanna go for sedans.... The nearest priced unregistered SUV you'll find is a Hilux Surf... the V6 version drives really good....

if you have purchased it from Toyota dealership try make a Trade-In deal with something better like camry or something which gives less dent over digits.

we do have a 2.7 petrol Prado 2004 TZ same engine, same chassis but different body shell bit under power but comfortable like a sedan

If you are comparing it with Prado or Land Cruiser then it's not a fair comparison. Fortuner is a different class and should be treated like that. If you were previously driving LC, Prado or luxury car and bought Fortuner because it's brand new then that was a wrong move. Having said that Fortuner is not a bad SUV but if you are used to better cars then you will feel the difference. In my opinion it's still better than 2003-2008 Prado so if I were you I would keep it but if you are planning to buy 2009-2013 Prado or some luxury car then you should take the 5.2 million offer and sell it.

Its just like Altis. Altis is there on the roads but no one is ready to buy a used altis.

People bargain a lot, since you want to sell it for 56 you cannot demand 56.5.

There are 2 Fortuners 1 Bought before June 2013(5,175,000 invoice) and other after june 2013 (5,750,000 Invoice)
You now add Registration charges i guess which would be 2-3 lac's

Add Regcharges to demand

And explain to buyer your ordeal

and dont sell it for 52.... keeping using it for time extract value from it as it will still go for 52 since cars are no way getting cheaper
