Small crack on the chassis on left side. What to do?

On my Mehran's right side, exactly behind the wheel, on the joint there is a crack. Someone suggested me to undergo weilding otherwise the crack will increase. Furthermore, that man said it's a common problem in Mehran and people driving on non smooth and bumpy roads face this issue and there is no harm in weilding. What to do? It's chassis.

Assalam Ali Kum, i have Mehran 2010 aswell and its a common fault. My advise is to get it welded as soon as possible, the more you leave it the more it spreads which requires much more effort to get it in correct shape. Don't think about the value and resale of car being affected by welding repairs, safety should be the first priority.

There is no compromise on safety.
But, I want to know that will it be considered a accidental or repaired car? Resale value problem or issue?
Is there anyway to get it fixed without compromising the resale value.

Recently i also faced same problem & got it welded. There is no other way around to get it repair, either compromise on your safety just to have a good resale for car. When those specific areas are welded, those places do get burn due to weld, you can get paint from any shop by asking shop keeper to make a paint that matches your car. Get it applied by any painter or if you are good at doing things you can do it yourself. If your car is in a good condition it wont be a issue, buyers always make a fuss , they prefer to buy a rusty GeNuiNe condition car instead of a good one

I faced a same situation last month on my car as well. The Denter said it is a common issue. Got it weld properly, the Denter first welded the crack properly, then he cut the new metal sheet and weld it on top of the repaired chassis properly. In the end, he applied black liquid (he said lukh which i do not know what exactly it is) to prevent from rust. I Paid him 500 for the job and time taken was 35 minutes approximately.

you need to scrape away paint and sealer, there is a lot of rust under there - The weld wont hold.

Today I went to the denter for resolution of this issue. First of all he said to remove the shock and wheel. Then he weilded by using gas weilding. From outside, the crack was small in size but the mechanic told me that it would be large from inside. I trusted him and when he opened the outside metal sheet, the chassis was showing a big crack of approximately 4 inches long. So he started repairing it and did the job in one hour total. Finally, he applied something which he named "compound". Total cost of repair 800 without paint. He told me if I had left it or ignored it, the crack would have increased further which would have compromised security and the whole chassis of the car.

You should remove these cracks. They will increase if you drive on bumpy and non carpeted roads. Do not compromise on security and these, as suggested by many, increase with the passage of time.

Boss I got the point. Its actuall called "frame/chasi". Welder make small hole and weld the crack. I have done same in Rs. 1500 but He used very hard metal piece and weld on the frame's crack, pluse he welded at several points, even he removed the front pumper as well and weld two pieces over there.

Umair you are right bro... As I had gone through the same process, I already mentioned above.
Now I am going to change Gadri alongwith both frames (Not all, but some part of frames) plus I planned to repair "mukkian" and then will ask the painter to apply compound/lok/wax on it. Total estimate is round 4000.

Bro, please share your experience and photos ,if possible, while undergoing the repair. Heavy Gadri costs around 1300 to 1500.

Today I decided to counter check the Gadri/cross member and get astonished to know that 2 denters confirmed that Gadri is fine, it only welded which serve the purpose. As far As my engine is tilted (minor) they suggested that any mechanic any set it by placing washals.
Now I m confused that what to do??

A mechanic said you should leave the Gadri & frame and should need following works
1- Tawa tool
2- Disc change
3- 2 engine foundations
4- Bearing (rear tyres)

Ab insan kis ki sunay??? Any advice in this regard??
