There is a easy solution but there is no political will to implement it.
We need a proper transport system. Not a govt subsidized paid by tax payer white elephant like metro and orange train.
We can simply allow private companies to operate buses on all routes, like we had New Khan and Premier.
People have no choice other than to drive by car or motor bike to go to work, school and college etc.
When I was in Uni I could got to any corner of Lahore by taking New Khan, Premier, Daewoo or some other bus or wagon. Now I can't.
One bus would take many bikes, cars and rickshaws off the road easing up the road congestion and lowering air pollution by many folds.
Icing on the cake would be that these companies will pay taxes instead of wasting tax payers money.
It doesn't have to be air conditioned luxury buses, pak hino buses will do just fine.
