Whether you roll up windows or wear helmets or stay indoors, you are still breathing the same air, aren't you? I wonder Lahore has so much greenery and is not like Karachi which lacks trees but still Lahore is hit by smog? what you guys are doing which is different from Karachi? I consider Karachi like a garbage dump but its not hit by smog as of yet.

That’s the difference, I have lived in Karachi and it’s a dump I agree but wind/sea breeze saves the city from the smog. Lahore doesn’t have that, last I checked we had zero kmph wind today.

No doubt it ll be blade runner type city and we ll be carrying our own oxygen packs on backs. Bragging which brands oxygen is better and posh.

I had bloodshot eyes today. It feels like living in a post-apocalyptic hell. Ordered 3M masks and air purifier, hope they help.

Last year I bought an air purifier from K block and I believe its shite. Doesnt do anything.

You are so right about post apocalyptic scene. Early mornings and nights are worst and specially if you cross over some bridge and look ahead you see thick smog engulfing buildings and traffic.

How much do you think Indian crop burning contribute to this?

Scenes from M3 just outside of Lahore today. Saw at least 10-15 burning fields on my journey. Also business as usual at bhattas.

Its ironic that farmers who burn the fields later get the brunt of climate change and lose livelihood. Erratic rains and changing seasons effect future crops.

Jahil aawam weak political parties and everyone running after kursi and power struggle every year..
who will have the ** to ban motorcycles? They cannot ban quingqi rikshwa due to ***" votes.. motorcycles is a whole different ball game.

When metro started its operation in lahore a friend used it for a couple of weeks to save time(yes it did same time and money) but passengers were like animals, as the bus stopped they would just keep getting in and it was overcrowded in no time. Eventually due to this reason he stopped using it.
