Well, I m also planing to go murree to see snowfall.One of regular visiter and Travel Guru suggested to go In february Because its peak season ! BTW in winter you must be well planned because anything can be happen there !!:D;)

Further IJC do a snow cross every winter in mountains and in those days it certainly snows so tie up with them to catch the snow.

Brother snow season in Muree is fun. It is very nice time to visit and see some snow. And dont worry about cold as long as you are in muree. This is because almost all hotels in muree have gas heaters so you will remain warm at night. Muree has sui gas supply so hotels there offer heaters 24/7 and at very reasonable rates. Also they have hot water 24/7
However I wouldnt advice you to go anywhere else like Ayubia or Nathia Gali as these places do not have adequate heaters for winter and also hot water is available only few hours in a day.

Murree is crowded like hell in both seasons. Its a pain to get and out of Murree in those days; specially with all the snow on the roads and all the crazy gas pedal happy drivers from all parts of Pakistan.

TOUR OF GALYAT (MURREE TO ABBOTABAD) - 13TH FEB, 2011.

I reached Murree on early morning at 7.00 am. There was just rain and no snowfall since 2 days. I headed to Abbotabad via Nathia Gali etc.

I found snow near Khaira Gali, Changla Gali was most snow covered.

u should plan end Jan to mid Feb.. but i think 10 days are too much for muree/galyat and you may get bore

in my experience nathia gali is 1000 times beautiful & better then muree
Current Year in february i was in muree & nathia gali also
we enjoyed Weather, Location, Natural views, & Lot Of Snow & Snowfalling Just In Nathiagali we got there a very nice hotel in very cheap rates just in 600 Pkr per day and 2 Heaters Also in just 400 We were 7 Friends or yehi same muree main 3000 to 4000 main available tha same dates main or bila waja ka Rush bhi tha chalny tak ki jaga nahi hoti thi jab k Nathiagali main sukoon or maza tha ...!

True. I went to Murree on my car during January this year. It is indeed pain getting in and around Mall on your car. Jampacked, daily routes are changed and what not. Skyrocket price of low quality food and molestation to the ride. I tried going to Nathiagali but turned back some 7km before reaching,

Murree is no more a fun to go even during summer.

did the hotel you stayed in have 24/7 hot water? i doubt it.
Regarding comfortability, Muree is very good but yes it can get crowded. Although snow season doesnt see as many tourists as summer season.
If you are talking only about being beautiful then best place would be to visit shugran. Its hotel pine park is open all year around. And that place will not be crowded at all and you can enjoy the scenery.
but if one is going with family and dont want to play it safe then muree is best.
