I'm glad we're seeing some support for the guy in the face of the all-too-common plight of getting ripped off by mechanics in Pakistan. Blaming the victim is common, too. Getting into the car hobby takes trial and error, learning and cash. Lots of people passionate about cars spend money buying a beater and fixing it up, and there's no harm in saving and paying a professional for their time and expertise.
Got an issue with your aging computer? Yeah well you better know the vocabulary, have the tools, spare parts and troubleshooting skills to figure it out. Otherwise, go buy a Mac. Let's forget about holding professionals accountable for doing the work they so happily take on.
Fortunately, while there are jerks who were presumably born ASE-certified with an air compressor for a dong clutching a duffel full of Snap-On, there are many willing to help beginners learn and make good decisions so they don't quit the hobby altogether.
You'll hear people say time is money, but money is time, too - ask any mechanic who charges by the hour.
However, it's not wise to make accusations involving "mafia" and "lobby" and reaching premature conclusions about a new thread being closed. We haven't heard from the mechanic, we don't know if OP is telling the full truth. In fact, OP hasn't told us whether he has communicated with his mechanic. All we know is that, based on his claims, he spent 400k to solve a problem that hasn't been solved.
