SOLVED: Is Suzuki Alto a Good Car?

1 - Can any body tell me Alto is EFI ? I know Cultus is an EFI?

2 - Is Alto Cabin more roomy then a Mehran or it is only the engine which is big ? I know Cultus Cabin is big

3 - Alto supports AC easly right ? or is it same like mehran?

I went to jail road to show rooms and came back confused as every showroom dealer has a different opinion some body curses the cultus and the other one says Alto is shitty ...

Actually, I am planning to buy a vehicle for my family commuting, we used mehran for last 20~ years and it had really served the purpose well (10+ feul economy) and before that when I was not born My father used to have Suzuki FX, Now I am in a middle of a decsion, for deciding b/w two cars from same manufacturer .. CULTUS = ALTO

1.Alto is not EFI.It uses the old carburator technology.

2.Cabin room is more than Mehran.You feel a bit more comfortable while driving Alto as compared to Mehran.

3.Alto's AC is the best in its class.Previous Altos I think before 2006 or 07 have DENSO AC which is the best AC.The newer Altos come with Sanden AC but it is also very chilling.

If I were you,I would choose Cultus due to bigger cabin space,EFI and a good drive.

I own an Alto and it didn't give me any problem.It all depends on your driving style and whether you maintain it or not.
Alto is not at all a bad car,but still Cultus is better than Alto.

Yr both cars are good.
Alto ac is best in 1000cc class.
Drive is very comfortable as compared to mehran.
one plus point is excellent economy on CNG.
And you car use ac on standing car without being worry of overheating.

If ur planning to waste money on a Zero Meter Alto then i believe it is better to buy a 2004 Vitz

if u have cash in ur hand then go for a 98 civic which is much much better then alto...!!...i own one nd plz dont ask how much pain in *** it is...!..BUT STILL BETTER THEN MEHRAN ND CUORE..!

Alto is probably the worst car when it comes to grip, braking and handling at anything over 80kmph.

However it is sturdy, the AC is good initially, and the parts are dirt cheap.

If I were you looking for a new car, I'd have bought the new Cultus. If being new wasn't a strict condition, I'd have gone for a 2000-2002 Vitz or City.

no alto is not efi....but still it is more economical than mehran on cng...

yes alto is more comfortable n roomy than mehran..

no its ac is much better than mehran but not the best...

in my opinion u should go fr vitz 03 04.... forget these tin dabas frm pak suzuki

Good car but avg on petrol is horrible!!! 8km/lit in city wid ac,10km/lit on long wid ac....apart from dis ....it has too much engine noise inside cabin,which is a big headache!

Thank you all for such nice suggestion you people just gave me the deepest insight possible.

Why I am interested in Alto is because of its tiny size which is very good in lahore's narrow streets, bigger car always have problem in streets which are not so broad, plus I heard it had good fuel economy.

But My My I am amazed that Vitz rules hearts of young Generation, I have not drove it yet but after this huge vitz support I thing i need to give it a visit, I don't know about its fuel Economy yet..

thats really good, I personally like santro too, but I am being told that Hyndai is not making santro any more, which means this car will be losing back of spare parts in market, which will be a night mare, I am in favour of santro over alto.. because of its good relablity name, plus I heard its EFI too..

but Spare parts back up is very important u know

Dear Poster,

I own both cars(Vitz07,Alto10 Model).
I am agreed with your comments about Alto.
You cannot compare Apple with oranges.
Alto offers you great economy on cng let me share with you my Faisalabad visit cost of both cars so that you can understand.

Total Km 400
Vitz fuel 26 litre (2350 rs)
Alto 2.6 cyl ( 1200rs)

I have compare Vitz 2007 model that cannot be run by cng and Alto vxr cng.
If you are thinking to buy a used vitz before 2005 model shape which can run on cng it will be a bold factor due to two reason,

1. it will be a 7-10 year old car
2. You will be 3rd owner.

In my humble opinion you should go ALTO brand new model.
If you can afford fuel then go for VITZ but fresh one , i have never enjoyed a car like VITZ.
Its a Master Piece.

By the way what do u mean by worst?? Do you compare it with Hondas or any other Sedans?? Do you actually owned an alto before giving these comments or its just based on biasness??

Dear Poster.. Alto is a very very good car. Cabin and engine noise is much lesser then cultus. I had put yokohama db 155/65/r12 and belive me it was marvelous in term of grip, braking and handling. On CNG it easily attains 120km/hr. Very good economy. However Cultus cabin is much bigger.
