These things have fantastic engines and trannys with a delphi diesel control system, They have so much torque that it pulls like a cargo train gaining speed.
The sad part is that baboo, ullu, nanna, bawla, idiot ustaad mechanics dont have proper tools to repair these and neither do they know how to repair them, thats why "FAIL" technology comes to be heard.
e.g. nearly all of them have broken off glow plugs and to drill out requires a special extraction tool set that has a few guiding bores, drill bits, taps, and pullers.
OR
you remove the head, which will require the injector puller slide hammer (if you dont have it and try to pull out a CDI injector you will break it off ($$$ <-- heart attack) and then would require special sockets to undo the head itself, the timing gearcase tools and stay pieces are a separate story.
The above is the reason why our mechanics with their love for swaps are using Toyota 1KD and toyota 1KZ diesels in these, some have even put toyota sedan petrol engines in them.
Its quite a sad case
