Brother - I was also sceptical before installing grohe fittings in my house, people used to say that there is no way grohe is going to work without pressure pump. I too didnt want to install the pressure pump due to its hassle. Even a couple of plumbers told me that if you want to install grohe, you need to install water pump. Still, I went ahead with grohe eurosmart fittings without installing the water pump and believe me the water pressure is amazing. If you want, I can send you a short video as well. Make sure to use 2 inch dia pipe. I am in bahria town lahore. The water directly comes from the bahria water supply and I have even turned off the overhead water tank supply

My house is 5 marla and my main water line is 32mm. within washrooms its 25mm. Would porta lever based fittings still work on 1st floor?
My lines arent dedicated, ill talk with the sanitry guy about individual motor option. Any rough idea how much a motor for individual wahroom would cost?
The reason i dont want a pressure pump is becoz its a hastle if there aint no light and in a 5 marla house people should get a hastle free system which should work for years to come. replacing or repairing a pump would be expensive for the owner.
I would like to go for grohee but the only reason i dont is becoz it would only work with a pump. Thats why im looking for the alternative.
One more thing. on GF would a rain shower work without a pump? shower plate to be 9" or 12"?
Grohee shower plates have negative reviews as they keep getting block and you have to manually clean the holes with a pin, whereas chinese alternatives can easily be cleaned by squeezing the rubber outlets. how true is that?

My water goes to the underground water tank first, which will be pushed to the overhead tank by a pump. all main lines are 32mm and in wahroom they are 25mm. i am not certain wether grohee would work or not.
Are you using grohee hand shower? or head shower? how well do they work on GF and FF? Im attaching a picture of a complete unit which i had my eyes on for GF.
for FF im still not sure what will work in lever options. some are suggesting to go for faisal lever based options.
Brother what do you suggest?

I think so @irfananwar can guide you better as he is already using Grohe fittings without pressure pump. Handed-over to @irfananwar.

Note: @irfananwar explained that he had 2 inch pipelines due to which he is facing no issue in grohe water outlet. So w.r.t 32mm I am in doubt. Its better to ask from Grohe outlet sale representative, he will guide you better w.r.t pressure pump requirement. They shall know their products better so I hope they will guide you in right direction as if their product tomorrow not work then you will be approaching them so they will not mislead you being product owner.

Also Go for Porta , master or as a minimum SONEX. Faisal not recommended, its equal to in price of SONEX but quality is inferior.

Exactly what im thinking. 32mm isnt what he is using. The thing is that whichever shop i go they say all lever options apart from grohee will work. mostly people recommend to get faisal. Since im already going for grohee on GF i dont want to select faisal for FF.
I asked grohee salemen, they always recommended presure pumps.
Ill check out options in porta now as that might be my only alternative. Acknowledged! wont opt for faisal!

Roof pe aik taper hai maine taper se zara sa hat k wall bnwa li mistri ne kaha pani ni aega bnwa lo lakin bnane k baad joint se pani araha hai . Mistri ne taper k end aur wall k darmian main cement bhar k filling kerdi thi. Please guide kerden image attach kerha hun ... ab mistri b ni araha na phone utha raha.

Taper yahan tk hai agay cement ki filling aur phir deewar ..koi solution bta den iska ...

2nd issue

Tile lagane wala bulaya hai usne bola hai floor pe tile wo bond se lagata ha pakar k lie washroom main cement use hoga kyunk pani bardasht ni kerta bond. Aur wasbroom tile leather face hti hai usmain gap ni hota... please guide kya ye sahi practice hai ya mistri farigh hai ?

I went with grohe on GF and porta on FF. The main pipe is 2 inches in diamater, I have no idea about the lines running in washroom.

The pressure on GF is way too much, even I was very much pleasantly surprised after installation and seeing the water pressure both in hot and cold taps.

I am not using rain/head showers in any of the washrooms, all are hand showers. I would recommend to keep it simple.

The common perception in the market is that all lever based fittings will require a water pump for a better water pressure whether imported or local including porta, kale and offcourse grohe. So i thought to myself if all will require a water pump to be installed than why not go with Grohe with a provision of water pump and install it after checking the water pressure as per need basis. I am not an expert really like @tajjammal bhai, i think it all depends on your sanitary wiring.

Simply get the rubber latex type water proofing chemical and brush the taper part propely with good layer. You can get water proofing gallon from any good paint shop and follow the instructions. It will solved. Water proofing rubber latex type chemical works in the same way like if you seal space between aluminium window and wall with silicon. e.g. You can use Bituflex or ultra seal.

Bituflex is a water-based 'rubberised' latex / bituminous waterproofing compound incorporating elastomers and reinforcing agents. It is formulated to a brushable consistency, but with sufficient body to provide a high build waterproofing membrane. Bituflex is user friendly and non-hazardous. Although black in colour it will not stain grout or tiles and it will not re-emulsify after fully curing.
Duram Bituflex is designed as a highly economical general purpose waterproofing membrane.

There is no sch thing w.r.t cement use.

Regardless of location either its bath or room or any where just use tile bond of good company like of Stile, best way or happliac tile bond. It seems that mason have limited exposure and he is reluctant to adopt modern practices. Ignore his advise.

Ill search on porta and see what suits me the most! Ill keep a provision for pump aswell.. if the pressure is ok then ill let it be otherwise will bare the expense.
Also i wanted to know at what reading should one give pressure? plumber said to keep it between 30-45, max 50. Is pressure set regardless of the house size? or does house size come in effect (5 marla, 1 kanal, 2 kanal)?
What is the ideal reading to set pressure at? considering that im using 32mm as main pipe and 25mm inside? Any idea? @tajammal84

Dear.
Dont do so much research, leave it.

If you plan for pressure pump, get the smallest available pump from market. Select the minimum outlet pressure setting from switch. Thats the simplest solution which I am telling you! Thanks.

GF it can work but FF it is not going to work properly without pressure pump

One more thing only install pressure pump if you are dead sure very fine quality pipes and pipe fittings were used.

Its very important because if you have installed pressure pump and your pipes and pipe fittings are not used very very fine quality i have doubt about the credibility of nice experience with Grohe

I am doubtful about tile wala, baki lets get to tge point

Bond should not be used for flooring.
Only cement should be allowed to use but the cement ratio should not be very high.

In washrooms there is no way water can damage the tiles therefore bond has to be used but only for walls, again when it comes to flooring, use cement.

About tile gap, it depends on the tile what kind of tiles you are using but if there is no Groove needed then you can use plain

Can you please guide should i keep the gap between bathroom tiles or not. Mistri told me leather face tiles are being manufactered in these days which don't require spacing of grouting
