Please try to evaluate the ride difference without the added weight of bullbar. That extra weight would dampen any stiff suspension, let alone the tyre hardness. With added weight, the drive of revo changes significantly. I placed just two rifles in the back, about 35kg including long rifle cases, and the vehicle stopped jumping about.
As far as rear leaf springs go, please opt for thai, comfort version. Or any other comfort version. The reguar local leaf springs are back breakers.

My tyre shop guy tied the mudflaps rearwards, using cable ties. No rubbing then.

I added the bull bars after driving approx 10,000 kms during which time I did one trip from KHI to Nathiagali, couple of trips to interior Sindh (kachay ka area - soft sand) and one trip to Kund Malir and beyond and based on that the Dunlops were quite comfortable and provided decent grip on different terrains and driving conditions. Yes, the shocks were Thai shocks. Based on my experience, the difference in comfort is negligible, these Yokos have more road noise as compared to stock Dunlops primarily because of the tread pattern but these Yokos offer 10% to 15% better road grip which is preferable in wet conditions.

Can you please share the pics showing how the mud flaps have been tied back. It'll help.

My permanent added weight in deck is 30kg rear bull bar + 20-25kg approx for shutter lid + 10-15kg stuff in the deck = 60 kg to 70 kg. Since I installed the bull bars in 2017, I have not experienced the rear jump as much as it did without it.

Do you have any source where I can call and inquire / buy these Thai comfort shocks?

Also, I am considering ordering Ironman's Foam Cell (not Pro) front and rear shocks along with their "Performance" Coils (to accommodate for added permanent bull bars weight) from 4x4 Extreme KHI (Nurain). These coils gives the vehicle a 35mm lift or 1.38 inch lift. Will remove the strut spacers.

Do check fulcrum suspension. Great reviews. I am using ironman suspension in my LC80 since 2016 but whenever I go for an aftermarket suspension in any rig I will most probably go for fulcrum suspension In Sha Allah.

Placed order for following Ironman items from Extreme 4x4 KHI:

1) One set of front and rear FoamCell shocks;

2) Medium Coil Springs with 35mm lift; and

3) Grease-able Shackles.

Will remove current set of:

• G-Shackles
• 1.5 inch strut spacer
• OEM Coil Springs
• Recently installed Agriauto shocks

Will share experience / difference after 1,000 km use, InshaAllah.

Yes, the yokos have road noise. Since I changed after two full fuel tanks, I cant really compare fuel consumption. It has been consistent 11-11.6km/ltr for me with both tires (4-5 odd fuel tanks with yokos, total 4000 km driven). My route is mild traffic, and 25-30% actual highway.

I did a road trip in Dec'21 with luggage, weighing about 130-140kg in the dala, and another 40kg on the back seats. The ride became almost SUV like, in terms of the bouncy behaviour and shock hardness, even with local leaf springs. It was a friend's Revo G FL. He had slapped on nitto duragrapplers, and they are probabaly the quietest tires I have experienced. Had to search for road noise. And soft too, being HT.
I suspect your experience with thai shocks and 60-70kg weight should be similar. As I mentioned earlier, with just 35kg weight in Daala, my current Revo stopped bouncing about violently on breakers and bumps.

Unfortunately, I dont have any link for thai shocks. Toyota central and unichip did mention comfort suspension for Revo sometime back.

What agriauto shocks did you recently install? Front or back? If you want the rear to stop being a back breaker, you need 120kg odd in the daala with local leaf springs.

I dont think myself or @ahsontariq are looking for civic/sedan type comfort here. The local leaf springs seem to be rated for 10000 tons loading! The ride is bouncy on bumps and speed breakers. That is the primary gripe, to get it down to level that its not a back breaker, and behaves like a shock absorber, rather than a shock transmitter!

I might add rear bumper just to tone it down. I have to get a tonneau cover anyways, so that should help a bit.

Besides that, one has to accept that its a truck and has to be treated as such.

Thank You @ahsontariq for explaining in detail. I will add spacers to front end as well. Also my truck is a dec 2016 model most probably with Thai shocks. Most people who have a revo and have sat in mine tell me it's much softer. All along i was thinking it was the huge tires 285/65 R18 Continentals. I have not bounced the truck much or taken it proper offroading yet but on light off roading and jumps on speed breakers it doesnt rub.
These tyres came with the truck when i bought it so i will use them and when i change i will switch to original size preferably dunlops.
It was very nice to see your ride still in full boom exploring and driving about. you being the OG of this tread and other REVO threads, I highly appreciate you sharing your experiences with the rest of the lot.

Can you also shed some light on comparison of sound of 1KD vs 1GD? is it a lot louder or marginally? also I have been researching about diesel purge. Have you ever tried or have experience with it? when is it necessary?

Hey i have the same color model Revo 3.0 1kd and got it brand new since April 2017, i had drove everything stock till 2019 i got the ironman suspensions/shocks n also got Q4 unichip with K&N to bump more torque as i usually go to factory with 2-3 guards. Ride became a lot better, also drove oem dunlop grandtrek till 52k km and got the toyo T1 sport suv tyres in oem size. Now its closing to 80k km and the ride has become shit harsh and bumpiness, found out the leafsprings got flat which usually happened after 70-80k km with loads at the back all the times. Now i m thinking should i get agri auto oem leafsprings or the ironman leafspring which my friends suggested as hes the owner of xtreme 4x4 and dealer of ironmans as well. Btw my brother have FL-REvo 2021 model and the ride of that Revo is so smooth and soft even with oem dunlop tyres compare to my 1kd Revo and i dont think i have Thai springs/shocks which i do have in my store.

Also i got the new fortuner legender and got the oem tyres replaced with brand new dunlop grandtrek AT23 275/60 R18 which is i found quite difference on ride with pot holes road and bumpiness reduce. A lot of guys said to go for geolander with 285 wider, reason is i didnt want to spend so much on tyres only as the oem shocks/suspension of new Fortuner has really improved like FL-Revo.

if you have tight budget on tyres, go for 275/60 R18 dunlop grandtrek AT23 made in Japan. i m regretting not to get those before for my 1KD Revo.

You are correct that with added weight in the deck, the back stops bouncing as much as it does empty. I remember during my trip to Kund Malir when the deck had over 200kg weight - the ride for back passengers was very smooth / soft.

I found Thai shocks - the ones which come stock in Thai Revo being sold in Pindi for 40k front and back.

There are only one type of agriauto shocks for the Hilux Revo and I installed all four - front and rear.

I'll share my empty daala bouncing experience with ironman foam cell shocks with greasable shackles in a couple of weeks time ISA.

Not at all. We know it's a daala and will never feel the same as a Sedan. Reason for me coming here is to explore and discover to what extent we can improve comfort of a Toyota Hilux pickup truck which is my daily driver whilst it remains an effective and durable off-road and hunting vehicle.

As for Daalay ka swag and civic X ka comfort. Bhai, experience has taught me, you can not expect same type of experience from a wife and a girlfriend.

Adding rear bumper just to reduce bounce is an expensive proposition. Might cost you north of 80k / 100k. A katta/sack of sand will cost less. A tonneau cover (manual shutter lid) will cost 100k at least.

Coincidently, most people who sat in mine also mentioned the same, I thought it was due to the 1.5" spacers which lifted the front and balanced the centre of gravity but pushing it a bit backwards.

You can confirm your shocks origin by taking it to a suspension guy.

Also in case you need original Hilux 1.5 spacer set, mine is going to be taken out in three days time and I will be willing to let it go at a discounted price along with the G-Shackles I got installed couple of weeks back from Sheharyar Traders in Lahore. Meanwhile, you may find out how much does a new set cost. Are you in ISB/RWP?
