Hey guys…so like I said the install is actually in effect..! I wasn’t kidding…

So like you all know that I purchased the parts previously for a 2.1 SQ setup…but this time around I am actually taking it a step further and going all out…this time its gonna be a Multimedia, A.V, 5.1 Channel Surround Sound setup !

My purpose is to have a solid front stage and have the rears and other speakers act as the surround speakers, so no detail is lost at all… handling the 5.1 Channels would be the Pioneer DEQ-P6600 Digital Signal Processor , featuring Dolby® Digital, DTS™ and Dolby® Pro-Logic® II surround sound (for pure 5.1 pleasure) connected via an optical cable to the Pioneer AVH-P6050DVD source unit…providing maximum control and adjustments… in short… loads of perks !!

The purpose behind going for a 5.1 A.V setup is that I want to enjoy music videos and other 5.1 media, specially the live music concerts recorded in 5.1 channel surround sound.

Anywho…ill stop talking now and lets the pics do it for me…

I present to you…the new additions for the setup !

First off…

FOCAL POLYGLASS 165 CV1, 6.5” coaxial as rear surrounds.

• Polyglass woofer with butyl rubber surround

• Non-resonant ABS/glass fiber basket

I have a feeling these Polyglass coaxial will beautifully compliment the front Focal 165 KRX2’s…so they had to be the obvious choice…. Focal = fidelity !

Every SQ setup should have a strong front stage…and what better way to pursue that than getting a center channel speaker dedicated to detail…in my opinion it is a very essential component in this setup…

The center channel has to be versatile enough to handle anything in the forefront of the soundtrack/ Video, Explosions/ gunfire/whatever, So it's frequency response is crucial and the Pioneer unit here really delivers in this regard…I have a feeling this expense will really reap benefits at the highest.

but acha hai..plus u have those headrest wali LCDs too

sir i hope u like the sound of the center speaker...considering ur comps will have killer clarity...might be difficult blending in with the focals when it comes to musical clarity

but i guess u wud use center speaker mostly in 5.1ch ....cause music is always stereo. unless u use the surround sound presets...and center speaker mostly has speech vocals in movies.

i wud love to hear Eagles unplugged DVD in ur car...Hotel California in 5.1....alaaaaa!!!

Sir couldn't find better center speakers, since we dont have that much option in those.

But the thing is this center speaker is made up of KEVLAR same material as the front stage Focal 165KRX2 and the Pioneer W12prs sub.

More so its rated at 20WRMS which is good... since i am going to power it with my DSP, which has a MOSFET amp built-in, rated at 27wrms More than sufficient to power the center channel. Since it is a kevlar cone i am anticipating it wud be efficient and will match the volume level of the comps.

Yup you are right will use the rear surrounds and center channel only when playing 5.1 channel DVD's.
