Strange issue of heatup/temp needle/sensor

All i am saying as u should start eliminating the possible weaknesses. Cap is cheap and easy to replace so is the t valve. If u were in khi i wudve lent u my cap for testing along with the obdii connector to monitor real time temps.

Incase there is a problem with head u shud have other problems like excess pressure build up in the system in the form of exhaust gases so i dont agree with people suggesting head problems. I am sure u will eventually run into head problems if u continue operating this way.

he did got them tightened again once when i went there because of this issue, should i go again?

tell him whats going on.tell him its occasionally happening and the engine would damage eventually
i personally think yes, get the head bolts checked again from same guy

Yes do that and in correct sequence and to the correct torque. Make sure not to over tighten as it can lead to cracked block

another new story but well em posting because it has a twist at the end, went to rwp at evening time, normal shifts at or under 2k or maybe max till 2.5k but no pushing, calm drive
but when i reached near saddar, i noticed temp needle crossed half n was at middle of H n of C at normal position
turned car off at signal, came back down, again it started to rise, turned car off for 3min, then started driving, it was fine but again it started to rise, i thought to stop after crossing signal but it started to come near to H, well then i just turned off car for 10min n after that again started driving at a speed of 20-30 which i was driving before, n kept same speed till i reached islamabad n temp needle stayed at normal position ever since i gave gap of 10min, then i checked bonnet again, could feel little pressure in plastic bottle
forgot to mention, while i was in rwp, i checked plastic bottle, water was boiling in there but bottle was almost full

i thought to go directly to mechanic who did the head work, but well he was gone, but "shagirds" were there, they checked n well here's da twist, he opened radiator cap n there was no pressure what so ever n when he poured more, there was hardly any less so he said what his ustaad used to say " koi masla ni hai, be fikar rahein" ...asked him to check head bolts, he said come in morning for that when ustaad will be here

on my way back i was again slow n was wondering if i should take u turn when this car from behind started flashing dipper n honked....well i had to test as well,car was on petrol i floored it n smoked him hahaha, shifted twice at 4-5k, rest 3-4k shifts on way back to home which was hardly 2-3km away n no movement of needle though it moves after a while when it gets hot

but seriously no pressure :S every damn time this happens when i visit this workshop
but plastic bottle showed boiling water when i was in rwp

i checked prices from nazir autos
he said honda's rad cap for 900, japenese for 300-400 where as T valve original for 950rs which i confirmed thrice from him

well i could actually feel pressure in plastic bottle by holding its cap, the same way akash showed me
when i opened to fill water it reached up top
by the way what does it means

Lamba kharcha par chuka hai.

Your radiator should be properly cleaned, new water pump, new thermo state valve new dhakkan, redoing the head work. Best way is to get it done from honda dealer or some good work shop who does honda work. Thirdly since you go to road side mechanics it is 80% certain that your wiring is not cut free and someday it will give a surprise.

So in short if you do not spend good money on it it will never get troble free.

Keeping in mind your record my guess will be transmission oil, fuel filter, drive belt and bearing needs to be changed. So basic verdict untill you spend 1lac on it your problems are not going away.

And if you are luck a t vale and radiator cap will work but its been a month that didnt happen.

Brother T-Stat valve is installed from factory in local civic unless someone has removed it.

First step : Check all metal pipes coming from engine, rubber pipes from radiator as well as radiator for leakage.

2nd step: Use ZIC or Osaka coolant including bottle approx 4 litre.

3rd step: check radiator condition and fans motor, if radiator choked, get a Chinese radiator as genuine radiator cost 14,500 dont go for kabli.

4th step: check engine condition i.e. valve clearance, spark plugs and ignition coils condition, gaskit condition and finally please use a good quality engine oil like Mobil 2000, LiquiMoly MOS or Castorl Magnatec.

5th Step: Check your electrical wires including grounds battery as well as Alternator and starter motor including alternator belt for proper voltage and operation.

6th Step: Get your car's compression test done.

Any radiator cap with even 0.9 bar pressure will do the job for atleast one year cost 300 rupees.

You can also buy a Chinese T-Stat Valve for 450 rupees.

I drive my 2005 Civic in hot areas of Nawabshah and Jackobabad where it is sometimes 45C but the car temp needle never rises above half.

got a honda's T valve n japanese rad cap 1.1 bar
went to mechanic to get T valve placed n he said to me: " log to garmiyon mein nikalwatey hain aur ap lagwa rahe hain"
i asked him why is he saying that n its reason, he said: "gari garam ho jai gi na lagwai, hamein pta hai na"
i asked him to put it anyways, later he said just keep checking water level for 2 days as it will pull water when it'll get hot so water will get less n temperature needle will cross half, n that rad cap turned out to be small :S
went back, they showed to me the same one that i already got, n i said i dont need the local one, he said its original of hyundai n that was also 0.9, khair now they are bringing 1.1 bar from their other shop, will try that tomorrow or whenever car will cool down after getting the cap
i drove slow from there till home, an innocent kick down at signal n rest a little push reaching near home
opened hood to fill back the water pulled, plastic bottle was filled a little above the neck n when i opened it at home, it was full up till the cap maybe it came up to come out but i was wondering why car didnt pulled water maybe because of not much throttle n it didnt got time to heat up yet.
now cap remaining, hope it resolves the issue

went at night time again to get the 1.1 bar cap, well again they got some other cap, saying maybe my radiator is changed then he said both kind of caps come n gave me 0.9 bar cap saying that it doesnt matters, i said i only need 1.1bar cap, so now they'll get that tomorrow on order,seems like they dont keep 1.1 bar caps much

drove a little longer than normal routine,went to jinah super today, sometimes pushed mostly till 3k
so far MASHALLAH no issues, though when returned i checked plastic bottle if water had been pulled but it was busy throwing it out because of over filled but i wonder why not pull it instead of throwing it out

these were needed anyways to bring car back to original spec
plus you can then rule these things out in troubleshooting if car still bothers you again

now that shop is getting the cap from honda, honda isnt gonna sell japenese parts to them, wonder if they'll ask for more money for same cap
so far pushing is going fine cng requires more push esp when its set to give more economy

i hope so this solves the issue
