If I had to spend 700k then I better go for Kohler gas generator which is under 500k. I am looking for something around 200k. I don't want to go for local assembled generators. In my opinion they might not be reliable, however I don't have any experience or heard on their performance/reliability. I also don't want a diesel generator since it's running cost is way too high. In my opinion it's not worth it.
As for running 2 x 1.5 ton a/c I have done that on petrol, not on gas. There's no way it could be done on gas, I have tested it myself. I have Electrolux a/c and it consumes about 9-10 Amp. The maximum output of my existing 6.5kva Loncin Generator pn petrol is 23A but I think we can safely get 21A. On gas I usually get 17A but have been able to get 19A but that's too much for this generator. I have run 2 x 1.5 a/c only a few times because I was afraid it could blow up the engine. You should not put a load of more than 80% on any machine including generators.
So, back to my original question; anyone with experience of running 10kva Chinese generator on gas and be able to handle 2 x 1.5 ton a/c?
