Suggestion regarding new Tyre for Honda city 2017?

Need suggestion........Which tyre is better Yokohama Advan Db or Yokohama Bluearth-A for honda city 2017? keeping in view of drive, road noise, comfort and fuel economy.

Michellin XM2 or Yokohama advan db these two are good tyres. Im using XM2.

Xm2 has better grip than advan db ..
Advan db is little bit more quieter than xm2.
Both are comfortable tyres and XM2 has longer life than db.

I had plans to change the tires immediately after delivery (even kept money in pocket for immediate change), surprisingly I was not displeased with the Euro Stars and decided to keep them, so far so good.

I feel much hype is created on exaggerated remarks here.

I'll say it again please don't go for xm2s for honda city, they're way too hard, and not comfortable at all, advan dbs are a better choice, both have comparitive levels of grip, but as in their name advans have lower levels of noise,
but like @suhaibayaz said, euro stars are not bad either, they'll happily give 50k of mileage before replacement

Yes no sane person will recommend XM2s for Honda City. They are hard and recommended for rural driving of Corolla.

Softer tires with their obvious pros have higher wear rate and more prone to punctures.

We bought two cities in 2015
One has Advan DB and other has Blue earth

Blue earth is comfortable , give good average and drive betters in wet conditions,
Advan is also comfy but less softer than blue earth and grip is also slightly better.

Blue earth disadvantage is that it got punctured often

Inam planning to buy a city but have not budgeted for tyre change...

Euros are perfect. . .use them atleast 40k kms. . .lill hard but never punctured !

there is estimator in the link which tells u compatibility. . .but unfortunately honda city in global version has R16 Rims. . .so it says incompatible. . .but reality is in pak city has R15 so it will do the job. but price is too high. . .if u procure internationally they will reach 1 lac !

The original rims the car came with is 15" rims, actually wanted to go 1 size bigger ie. 16" but didnt know if it void the warranty? How it would affect the ride quality, performance, fuel consumption, maintenance cost? Would it cause stress of any associated parts such as electric steering, rods, joints, ends and suspension?

I do agree that the rims are expensive, you mentioned something about "procure international" could you explain what you meant by that, is there a way to purchase the exact same rims at a reduced cost?

means the mentioned site is not paki n deals in dollars. . .they might add custom duty in delivery. . .they r 15" not 16". . .if u install 16", ur body frequently touches tires on bumps as city got weak stiff suspension. . .ride improves n mileage decreases !

The car came with 175/65 R15, which i find is too narrow and reduces the handling and stability of the vehicle especially during corning. What recommended tire profile could i use? that could be fitted to the vehicle and wouldnt cause any problems such as rubbing against the shock or the fender. What if i used a lower profile tire would they still touch then such as 195/55 R16? I am from the Caribbean region and there isnt any automotive parts place where i live that supplies aftermarket parts and accessories for the Honda City, so i am left with no other choice but to import. well i neva felt traction n loosening control. . .what designers propose is best as per design. . .however u can hv 195/65 R15 as wider n higher reducing 2 kmpL mileage. . .changin radius might b disastrous !

Thanks again for the word of advice and caution when next i have to change tyres i will consider your recommendation, as we are on the topic what tire brands would you suggest are best suited for tropical climate? What are your views on maxxis tires?

em using company fitted Euros and they are going awesome. . .so i guess i will stick to them atleast 40k kms. . .so i cant recommend u any other as i have not used !
