yar car which had this engine(nissan expert) didn't had rpm meter, but rpm signal is going to the auto transmission, i took that, that's a switch to ground signal for every spark, than modified the rpm meter, which runs of the coil/distributor, and alhamdulillah it worked, just installed it. following are the videos and pics of the process.

the more later generation engine you get the more the problems, like the newest ones have CAN communication between devices, i.e. ECU, Meter, other controllers, night mare to hack.

btw alhamdulillah no CEL, will plug in the diagnostic as soon as i get a connector, than every thing will be clear

why is that so?

so installed the rpm meter last night in the car tested it and it working alhamdulillah, made a video in the morning, one strange behavior, when the car starts the rpm rises to 2k rpm for a brief second like some one presses the throttle to start the car, is this normal, than the rpm stays at 1300 and gradually comes down to 800 when the engine reaches operating temperature.

here is the interface circuit that i made to get the rpm working, apart from this modified the tachometer from inside too, this is small enough to fit inside the housing hence more managed.

I belive the stepper motor takes its time to adjust rpms. seems normal.

Seems Normal......!! Nowadays Temperatures are quiet dropped so that can also be one reason of high idle on starting then drop down....on operating temp that should be around 850-950....!!!

That's True New Gen engines have more electrical to care off.....!!! but worth the results if you use them on Petrol......!!

With sequential injection cng kit, excellent results can be acheived on these modern engines.

Same mounting place but mounts are different. u can get QG mounts from person who is selling the engine to you.
