Went for 2nd inspection 3 weeks earlier then scheduled at 2475km. Service manager there said it's ok that 10w40 is being poured in new alto from Karachi factory and it's alright if you add even more thicker oil 20w50 according to Pakistani alto manual. He said Japan and any other country might have different oil viscosity recommendations but we follow our own manual and it's ok if you want to add 5w30 or 0w20. Another alto was having oil changed 10w40. I had to buy 4liter 0w20 because they didn't have 3 liter or 1 liter packing. Can I use the left over 1.5 liter oil 3 months later in next oil change? Manufacturing date on packing is 18-02-19

They probably sold you the oldest oil in their stock coz they are following the usless "own" manuals and pouring 10w40.

I wish we could meet these baba-e-azam ke engineers at PS who still have the understanding and knowledge of a local mechanic ustaad and dont bother to update themselves with time, thinking its still 1985 and PS is shiny new company with latest stuff.

Service manager is Amir at Suzuki Khalid Motors Lahore. He also claimed that alto manual was created by Japanese personnel. Our top managers are Japanese even CEO is Japanese blah blah....

Has anyone tested JC08 fuel consumption cycle on alto vxl or vxr? Suzuki japan jc08 test result shows alto manual transmission gives 27.2 km/l and ags gives 29.6km/l. Cvt transmission has an amazing 37km/l result

Has anyone installed an after market audio upgrade in their ALTO VXR/VXL .

I want to upgrade the audio, Not sure if a universal fitting Kenwood/Pionner would fit. A shop keeper told me only androids can fit into it.

Yes, but did not change the stock media player, just installed the amplifier, changed front door speakers and a small Sony bass tube in the boot with 12 inches woofer.

Today, I had a chance to visit the nearest Suzuki center for installing an air press / window visor. I have seen the spare tire kit available for Alto 660 in PKR 15200/-. If anyone purchased this kit please share that is it worth purchasing it from Suzuki?

Is the sound any better now? The sound in VXL touch screen is shit with bluetooth I have to take it up to 30 and the sound is ok.

With radio the sound is alright. But not crisp.

Can I use android 9 phone with vxl? My phone doesn't connect with infotainment on bluetooth

Yeah, sound is better than before because the stock front door speakers were producing low quality sound. I am not saying that the touch screen is good but it works somehow good with Bluetooth (which I rarely use). Before installing the after market speakers, amplifier and sub woofer I was also listening up to 30 but now I am listening between 10-15.

Ok great. I was asking because WagonR somehow had better sound quality with factory speakers.

I ordered a set of speakers and I have a amplifier which I never used. So maybe il pair things up with factory multimedia for now.

The unit only support 8.1 and below android phones for mirroring.

Suzuki advertised screen mirroring as a USP and i am unable tonuse it with 6 android devices in my home.

Got my first oil changed to 0W20 at 2600 kms. Engine noise has dropped and also pick has increased. I was getting 16.4km/ltr. Lets see what difference does this oil have on fuel average. Total cost with filter was PKR 4488.
