Congratulations, how is the drive/ pick of AGS? can you confirm the HP?

Just had a test drive at suzuki defence motor of VXL, it is not bad at all, drive is much similar to Japanese CVT minus the jerk, power response is fair for 660cc and one drawback is that no rear camera, that will have to be installed.

There are huge gaps between fenders and mud covers so anyone who gets his vehicle make sure to plug those or you will have an extremely messy engine bay. Build quality is better then mehran, but not even 50% of japenese. you can spot rust and fitting and finishing issues inside the engine bay at very superficial inspection, don't know what you will be able to dig if you do a very keen observation.

Dealer asked me to deposit full payment and delivery in 4 months, whereas PS booking office is booking at 500k. will get it done on Friday as am busy for the next two days.

you cant confirm the HP by test drive nor is it mentioned on the engine. But it is R06a that is mentioned on the description plate in engine bay.

Drive and pick was ok, the ac is not bad as the temp was 38 and the vehicle was parked in the sun, but the AC started to cool in a short while.

The throw if the fan is limited though and the passenger at the rear will be a bit affected

I felt that the pick was slow (my personal opinion & i hope that it doesn't hurt anyone's feeling), but the showroom guy was of the opinion that as the engine is new and not even driven 100 km, that's why I felt slow pick.
There were jerks during the gear shifts but that is going to be there due to ags technology.
However response was above average considering the 660 cc engine and ags technology. Lets wait for the owner's review once this car comes on road. Its too early to give any opinion. I am of the view that one should go for the local Alto instead of used imported versions (again personal opinion, not trying to start a debate here).

Why are dealers asking for the full payment whereas the regional office is accepting bookings at rs 500,000/- for the VXL ?

No idea, they want to cash in on something i believe. they cant accept full payment for a vehicle that cannot be delivered in 60 days.

May be dealership margins or something like creating a hype and then cashing on on business

Test driven both AGS and manual, my observations are;
1. Build quality is good specially interior, while exterior; there are few asymmetrical gaps between panels
2. Car is spacious, plenty of leg room available for front and back passengers
3. I liked its A/C performance, yes it trips while flooring but then comes to normal after that, considering its a commuter car that's ok
4. Pick is good overall though felt bit under power only with A/C
5. I was unimpressed by AGS, I would like to go for manual instead, jerky feeling of AGS didn't appeal me
6. Breaks are good enough
7. Can't say much about suspension as I didn't had chance to drive on rough patches while on smooth road drive is good and quiet and it offered decent handling

As far as I think dealers will utilize full payment to book 2 cars, one for you and one for themselves and will sale them before arrival or book on premium for others near delivery...

Alhamdulillah, done with the booking today at Suzuki Macca Motors. Considering the Karachi traffic and my daily route I have opted for AGS variant.

Bro, VXL have many other goodies aswell. Power windows, Retractable mirrors and some other which i don't remember at all.

Yes..fed has nothing tondo with filers..it cannot ne returned as well
