Positives

• 2 tone Interior, the meter and the lighting look good
• Build quality of the dashboard is good enough
• AC is very good for a 660
• Loved the soft bucket seats
• Steering is nice, soft and smooth
• A lot of leg room for both front and back passengers, interior is very roomy, not what you expect looking the car from outside
• Really nice to have all powered windows and retractable mirrors
• Nice to have air bags and ABS
• Price is not too bad for all the goodies we get in this variant

Negatives

• Suspension felt very soft, car was unstable and bouncy even at 30-40 km/h, may be tyres are too thin.
• Brakes were not up to the par, needed some force to apply properly.
• Manual gears are in reverse order so if you need to go up a gear you pull down and pull up to go down a gear, that's confusing.
• Felt very under powered on steep climbs. We were 3 on board, AC was on and from stand still with accelerator all the way down, it didn't move for good 3-5 seconds while in 1st gear, then automatically reved up a bit as if it was put in even a smaller gear or some how more torque was applied and it crawled up slowly. It will really really struggle in hills specially in nathia gali. It will be fun to see one fully loaded climbing the salt range on motor way
• No back cam, seriously?? it has the lcd but no back cam, would have cost them only couple of thousand rupees to put one in.

Mere khiyaal say pak suzuki na de-tuned ki hai due to petrol quality in our country. Lakin weight mehran say thora hai tou power to weight ration is fine.

I am thinnking of Leasing Alto. But even though I like Auto but I am not convinced by reliability of AGS. SO maybe VXR..

Is it justifiable to buy new VXL with 15k own. the people who paid 5 lakh 2 months ago are charging FED (They dont have to pay it but after 1st july one will) and 15-20k on top of 12.95

The only reason is i want one right now and i dont want to become paidal in this heat.

AGS is a very simple thing. its just an actuator on top of manual transmission. car is in 3 year warranty whats there to worry?

Test drove the VXL today. Staff at Suzuki Mandviwala Motors was super courteous. Coming from a 2014 Mehran this car felt like a light year ahead in design and everything. Beautiful supportive seats. Amazing legroom. The only let down was AGS that felt jerky. There was a delay when I lift my foot from the brake and give the car some gas. Maybe that's because I've never driven an AGS before. Overall excellent new hatchback from Pak Suzuki but I'll save my 200 grand and probably go for VXR.

you should definetly not mind the 15k on top, these first lot cars have most parts japanese. Slowly localization would kill quality.

display cars had particular "display car" sticker from Suzuki Factory probably due to better quality.

a fresh japanese S grade CVT is avalilble around 14 lacks in market as off today. So VXL is totaly justified.

That delay of 3-5 sec is caused by AGS and not the weak engine or steep incline. Don't know why AGS delayed so much to move the car.
By the way looking at its smaller engine, it is recommended to turn its AC off on steep inclines to gain the power.
The quality of fuel sold in Pakistan is also not very good and that also causes loss of power.

true at times on steep inclination a 1.8 car with AC on also struggles so thats shouldnt be the concern. The new suzuki cars though have intelligent ecu where you when accelerate vigorously the AC trips itself until you come back to your human self lol.

Alot of new cultus owners had the same complain about AC tripping more often because they liked to stretch car to 50km/h on 1st gear lol

I think its a fair deal. Lets say, you book vehicle today, you'll have to wait approximately 3 months and you'll be paying 12.95 plus amount increased during this period by PS.

I think it's a win win situation for you. After all you are getting your hands on car immediately. Don't think much about FED, because it is applicable on all cars booked from now and onward.

That 'if' often makes decision a daunting task

Yesterday, when I went for booking, rumors were that 'own' on VXL will be 50K plus on cars available in July. Well, we do hope that FED does not get approved but chances are very rare.

an article on PW suggests that the lag ppl are facing on AGS is because you have to lift your foot off the accelerator when the car is shifting gears to ensure a quick gear shift. Keeping the accelerator pushed causes the lag. Is it really the case?

And did those of you who took test drive, inquire PS officials about the confusion regarding actual Horsepower figure? we should've gotten a clarification by now.
