In AGS why is the triptronic manual gears in reverse order, does anyone know?

The idea behind manual shifting was derived from racing where you thrust the lever forward when approaching a corner for downshifting (hence - at the top and + at the bottom). You'll find that in BMWs.

By contrast, some manufacturers do it the other way round. I'm sure it's just adaptation that can be done after using the car for few days.

Most manufacturers have + at the top and - at the bottom which makes sense, this is the first time I see the order in reverse.

I asked the people at the dealership and they were also bamboozled when I told them, they were like shaid sticker ulta lag gya hai, I replied nahy bhai gears bhy ulte he lag rahe hain lol

We have to give it to Suzuki, when it comes to marketing and launch events Suzuki is miles a head of Honda and Toyota. They make great TVCs and the staff at the dealerships is polite and friendly.

They have come so far since the days of mehran, old cultus and margla. The current offerings are just amazing.

Starting with WagonR then the new Cultus and now the all new alto. The best thing about these new cars is that they are not skipping on features like immobilizer, air bags and power windows etc. They listened to the public and got their shit together.

If they launch the new Swift soon that would be great, and if they launch the hybrid version of it, that'll be just awesome.

Manual gear shift in backward direction would be a great headache for so many people. People are used to shifting forward but now reverse shift would be confusing.......

I dont understand this 'own' thing. You go and buy from Suzuki dealership, a Suzuki product and are willing to pay the full price. Then the Suzuki dealer tell you - no you cant have it unless you pay extra 20k or 50k or whatever the extortion amount is. This is a crime. Its extortion and we encourage it by paying it.

Jitne log abhi excitement ke mare uchal rahe han sab ke hosh thikane tb aien ge jb ye log gari leke 10k+ kms chla lein phir AGS in ki cheekhein nikale ga. Pata nhi why people are acting so blindly regarding such a big matter despite substantial evidence present to prove the unreliablity of AGS/AMT transmissions.

Read post no.14 and 22....we will need to learn to use AMT....we cannot and should not expect it to be like standard auto trans....ofc ur car will creep backwards on an incline when u start frm standstill because thats what happen in manual trans.....there are numerous AMT JDM Altos and havent heard about problems when most of em are being driven on careem uber.....AMT cultus has crossed 2yrs here in Pakistan and they they are pretty much driven 20k 30k....let me know about AMT issues being faced, i may not be well informed......plus the well known manuf faults are replaced under warranty by automakers....like power steering of reborn and power window master switch of 2004-06 City

Today I had a test drive of VXL AGS. Car was parked in open sun and time was 2 pm. So very hot today..We were three on board. Keeping in mind 660 cc car and an upgrade from mehran following is my observation

Front seat very comfortable as well as back although back seat is quite flat.
Gears change is quite smooth although at time you feel mild jerk which my colleagues did not notice.
AC was on at number 3 and keeping small engine and hot 40 plus temp it was ok..
Handling is better than cultus I guess.
Audio system sound is also good.
Very spacious.
After 15 minutes ride when I opened front good to check engine it was like I am sitting in oven. ...very very hot engine bay and very small radiator. And there is not heat guage....Although I came in corolla and Ac was on for last one hour..
Other than this point I think it is a good buy

It's the bribe you pay to get quick delivery. Even the cars standing in showroom display and backyard, haram khors won't sell them with out taking bribe aka own.

I am ashamed but i guess in pak you gotta pay top dollar to get car immediately ive always discouraged this practic but i dont want to go paidal to my office after booking car on full payment and wait 4 months
