anyone who thinks the lights are too below, definitely needs a eye checkup, i mean how do u guys judge a ditch or a speed breaker on the road.

Japanese mini vans, Hijet Etc all all lights on the back bumper, i have been noticing alot of Japanese Altos on road after this being discussed here, The rear bumper break lights are clearly visible from a decent distance. To add the vehicle is equipped with a hi-mount stop lamp as well.

Sir the issue comes when we are crawling in traffic....i was right behind one such alto in a u turn line and couldn't see those lights below...so i increased my distance slightly to know and see better [but a bike filled that gap (as usual)], if driver indicates away at last moment or reverse suddenly (anything is possible lol)...

Its not that much of an issue....the 660cc vans are here since years....the lights are same as that of hijet...S.every has lights on bumpers too

Perhaps, the shape and design of this Alto would be perfect for Japan as they strictly maintain safe distance between vehicles, but here in Pakistan, people have habit of driving bumper to bumper which leads to low visibility of back lights.

Phir to u should only rely on automatic braking, their are zillion cars without proper working brake lights or turn signals. Here you have issues seeing visible lights.

sir kei class is not for roads with over 60 kph speed limit in Japan ..
Do attempt over Google search the purpose of KEI cars in Japan.

Get hold of JDM Alto & PKDM Alto - remove the rear bumper .. There is bullbar reinforcement under the bumper before crumple zone which is 1.5 inches wide.

in PKDM it is non-existant. ( this i have witnessed that support bar at a denter's shop and the picture of Alto over this forum - the strike is right at the crumple zone and whole rear is shoved only as absence of that support)

I've just mentioned the reason why people are complaining about it here in Pakistan. It's all about driving conditions here, we have always seen brake lights in the middle in PKDM vehicles.

Otherwise, I myself don't have any issue with the position of brake lights in terms of visibility as I always maintain safe distance no matter how bad the traffic is around me, however I do think that such bottom placement of brake lights has made car looks a bit ugly. It could have been better.

Yes, i know the fact that Kei Cars are not recommended to be driven on highways & expressways. But having recently been to Japan, I saw dozens of 660cc cars on expressways even at Mt. Fuji 5th station which is a hill station.

15k was basically on top of FED charges which initial people who booked dont have to pay.

so basically 12.50+50k+15k (where 50+15=65 goes into pocket of car seller)

i am still banking on FED 2.5% being waived off by the govt before budget approves for cars below 1000cc.

So your main concern is FED reversal. I think thn you should wait till July. Things will get clear by that time. But one thing is for sure if FED gets reversed people & car dealers will increase the own amount.
