Considering that Swift Automatic is around 14 lakhs, this base model of this car will be priced above that and anywhere close to 16 and above this will be another failure from Suzuki. Even if they give it more features and what not it still cannot be at par with the other options available in this price bracket such as City and Corolla.

At the end of a day its a Suzuki and looking at their past for Liana and Baleno and where those name tags are now: I have my doubts it will last as long as what the other 2 brands have been consistently offering with a good aftersales according to Pakistani market with proper support. Toyota and Honda are premium companies in comparison to Suzuki and there is no denying in that.

It will only temporarily grab some share and then vanish after a few years. No Suzuki sedan has a legacy.

you missed Margalla, No better car jokes apart, Yes you are absolutely right its fate is no better then Baleno and Liana. But one thing i am sure off is Honda will follow and soon a newer Generation City is going to hit the market. Also push Toyota more desperate towards the updated facelift previously because of Grande VS Civic 2016 and after this for GLi VS Ciaz as well. Though both examples still have their own loyal customers but still.

I Dont feel Toyota needs any push, They are on their schedule, THey just launced REVO and Fortuner Corollas facelift is due in April.

Gli vs Ciaz no never Suzuki doesnt comes near Xli even. I remember 1600cc Imported Lians were priced and positioned as competition to Corolla Civic being priced at ~12.50. Then local 1300cc was priced under 800,000 or maybe CNG was 840,000.

The car looks top notch projectors and interior and bla bla. But cant say much until local production starts.

I dont under stand when Pakistan is only a assembler why cant they bring in sample units and assemble them here to evaluate actual pricing and then make in Pakistan.

They bring in an imported unit with a exaggerated price and all interest falls away. Then the local variant comes with third class quality

More than that if we calculate import taxes of a brand new car. That's valid for import but if they plan to assemble it they will need to sell these as samples with a massive rebate to capture the market. Otherwise it will flop even before its properly launched as a locally built unit.

overall the car is made in 1400cc Petrol and 1200 Deisel variants only.

I dont see fog lamps and push start or Alloywheels. But i do see Auto transmission, Seems like a middle model with only AT and MT options.

Althoug
Altohugh the local production is just a dream, But since the K series engine is already in Pakistan by WagonR i dont see a reason Paksuzuki Altering it with a M series engine but anything can happen.

Instead of predicting its future I think we should welcome the new entrant becuase with introduction of every new model or vehicle our choice will expand

I hope the price shud not be more than 20, if the price is close to altis 1.8 or civic non-oriel then it will be another flop like kizashi
