I'm looking to buy used ciaz in karachi but can't find decent ones on pakwheels. If anyone is interested in selling please do get in touch.

A friend working for suzuki said that new model of ciaz will be coming and will be announced in December but this time they will assemble it here and it will be launched in early 2021, the only reason i have a ciaz right now is quality i hope it remains the same even when assembled here.

I was told same by suzuki motors manager that now the plan is to assemble it in Pak. Also told, can't import it further as its price will be 35 lacs if they do.
I don't think Pak assembled will be equal in quality though.

local Cultus almost cross 2-million mark currently - even if we believe PS will start assembly of Ciaz here, the price can be estimated - around 3.5m if not more. and in that price segment i believe it will not be cost effective for people to opt for a locally made suzuki brand. also, as per market scenario and overall sales figures i do not think PS will be assembling it in near future.

If this comes as local assembled then it would be in similar price range of city\yaris... However with the local "suzuki" badge on it will have same fate as Liana.... Although Liana sold alot but had issues, while the Ciaz doesnt have any issues known till now, but sales are much lower due to great PS history.

I wish i had money so i wud buy Ciaz auto eyes closed

Suzuki should price it lower than city and yaris as lower price is the main reason of ciaz’s unprecedented success in india,pak suzuki should now market the new model extensively and offer warranties so the local buyer can once again trust suzuki sedan like they once trusted margalla.

the older units imported in 2016/17 were priced around 2.5m. do you still believe that even if they import again in 2020/21 they will be able to sell it at 2.5-2.7m? this is the price range of Yaris/City. do you still think its possible? also, Liana was a very hot selling car in 2006/07 and sales nose dived after 2007 till its death in 2014. the units were imported before assembly was started here based on how well the car was received. same was with Baleno. i really do not think they will be thinking of assembling ciaz here in Pakistan as it really needs some huge investments and most importantly there should be market acceptance/need for that product.

If rumors of relaunch are correct, Ciaz could do well in Pakistan for the following reasons

1. Ciaz now has a 1.2 option along with 1.4 engine. So if 1.2 is used in CKD CIaz (just like Thailand) it will attract lower duties (<1.3 bracket) compared to Yaris and City who are in >1.3 bracket.

2. Ciaz is globally substantially cheaper than its competitors.
   In India,
   Ciaz (8.31-11.09 lac)
   City 7th gen (10.89-14.64 lac)
   Yaris (8.86-14.3 lac)
   Verna (9.02-15.17 lac)

3. Not to mention Ciaz is larger in dimensions, hence roomier than all its rivals.

4. In recent times, as prices of other cars shot up and passed Ciaz, there was a renewed appreciation for Ciaz as buyers saw good value for money in it.

If PS acts smartly and remains competitive in terms of both price and features, they could have a winner on their hands.

No no... I m not saying they can sell in same price when importing again... Ofc not..... Since the discussion started about it being produced\assembled here, so i m talking about the local made price of Ciaz, which i expect and should be close to yaris and city

Hello Everyone,

I bought 2017 Ciaz with 43500KM on ODO in October 2020.

Please suggest following:

1- Owner was dumb, did no t know the engine oil grade. We put Mobil 10w40. When I read the manual, recommended oil is 5W30. Should I immediately change? car has been 3000 KM driven on 10W40.

2- Indicator flasher sound issue.

1. 10w40 is also fin3 but in next oil change get 5w30 as winters are already here and cars need less viscous oil.
2. Indicator tickin sound is a known issue in ciaz, sometime sound works sometimes it does not..if it really bothers you, get it to some dealership and get it checked, it most likely seems to me car computer issue rather then ticker buzzer...

Yes 5w-30 is recommended.

But if someone is putting 10w-40 its their choice .That doesn't mean they are dumb.

please let me know the Oil brand. Current Only KIXX 5E30 Fully synthetic is availabl e at Filter house. Mobil fully synthetic is not available. Should I go for KIXX G1 Fully Sythetic 5W30 ?

Sorry for that. I was mentioning OWNER of the car. He did not even know the grade of oil. I guess he never went instead his driver did all the services.

If you are in Lahore - Sethi Motors is good option as it is one of largest dealership, Ciaz parts availability is better there.
For Oil - Total Quartz 5w30 is fully synthetic or you can use Kixx 5w30 - Both are good.
As Odo is 43K + Please do check for following
1- Did previous owner gets its gear oil changed ? If not, please plan to do so before 50K
2- Throttle body service & plugs condition? If not please get it cleaned and check plugs if they were ever change or need to be replaced.
3- CatCon cleaning...

Ciaz is great car - with this minimal periodic maintenance it will serve you for long time.

Have u tried with seat belt on .generally with seat belt warning indicator flasher is not heard. I m pointing a basic mistake which i made might not be true in your case.

1- Gear Oil is not changed. Please suggest Good Automatic Transmission gear oil. Liqui moly Top Tec ATF 1800
2- throttle body and plugs: I will get them checked at Sethi Motors.
3- Average is good so far. 16.5 - 17.5 on local. 17.5 - 18.5 on motorways. Cat needs cleaning? please guide, so I get it done. There is no noise on start up.
4- I don't have owners manual, please guide me for Auto-Transmission Oil quantity as well.

Dear I will try this trick as well. If issue is not resolved, will go to Suzuki for solution.

LM top tec is good oil, Ciaz require AW1, I believe quantity is 5 L for automatic but please confirm from Dealership as well.

Catalyic converter need to be cleaned at 50-80K kms depend on quality of fuel quality.
