In Hondas' it doesn't come installed, it came in my Suzuki Swift.
Yes, it block dust from outside. Once it gets too dirty/clogged, performance drops, since air pass through it. Once you get it cleaned, check the performance afterwards. Located under Passenger side Glove-box.

yar EFI main woh bhi 2014 main as such issue hay hi nai kay AC kaam na karay. no matter what. i travel at about 1 pm when i go to home 300 KM from Lahore. and yet never found such issue. but may be koi AC ka masla ho.

At night fresh air is much better than AC so when i open Outside air vent option + Fan, it throws Dust, so i guess its not installed in cultus as well ? if i want to install, what kind of filter it is?

Really ? you own latest 2014 model and its not chilling ? dude either you dont have it, or you dont know how to run it . its chilling man. even in peak hours, it never disappoints me. engineer ho yar, thori common sense use kar aur thori deer window open kar lo... proves engineer honay say zayada faraq nai parta :D.

bhai aap pehle cultus use to karein. you dont know the real performance of ac it takes almost 10 minutes to cool down.

bro i'm using khyber, and i'm talking about front seats, in the scorching heat of multan and lahore, it takes only 2 minutes to get comfortable temperature in front seats if ur a/c is serviced adequately, and its chilling in 10 min. cultus should be better due to better insulation, materials used. the settings used are air circulation on(fresh air off) a/c on full(not on half pressed, its economy mode) fan speed at 4 for blowing air out and 2,3 once a/c is turned on and vents used are the ones towards face and feet.

low fan speed provides cooler air because the air gets more time to get cooled before it gets thrown back towards u.

my cultus 2012 is also not making cooling in peak hours like at 2'o'clock in day and in evening it is so chilling...what should i do....i think that refrigeant gas is running low....how much should i pay for refrigeant top-up only...

the airconditioning has a delta spread of about 25F - do not expect it to magically cool down 50F just because its an A/C. Best remedy in such situation is to first actually see what is causing this problem. If the system pressures are within specification and you dont have comfortable cool down you need to see if the ambient temperatures are too hot.

e.g. if you are running A/C in a small car in traffic jams in 45C heat - small condenser, small fan to cool it and you have fresh vent open the system will die of overpressure unless it is sized for a bus. Try to isolate the cabin, and first cool the cabin by itself before switching on the A/C

just remove the glove box-its behind it-if you look under the dash from left side,you can actually see it
