To keep the car under warranty you are bound to use Suzuki Oil from dealership regardless of it's quality

If you want to maintain warranty then you are stuck with suzuki oil SG / SM 10w40, as mentioned on the sticker inside your bonnet and in the warranty booklet. Any other brand/viscosity will render your warranty void. Have a written confirmation from an authorized person before using any other viscosity of even suzuki oil, because they might use it against you if something goes wrong and u have to claim warranty.

On the other hand if you dont trust/like ur local suzuki dealership then there are many good brands like liqui moly, zic, caltex (havoline) ........ Just search Pakwheels forums and u will find heaps n heaps of information.

I, personally, am sticking with the warranty option and suzuki ultimate oil 10w40 SM. BTW suzuki oils are manufactured by Total for Pak Suzuki.

Honda oils are also made by total.

Total has the wordt refinery i.e PARCO and worst standards.

No. They don't sell other and don't even bother to reply when you write against their Engine Oils.

They never replied to me .

I opted to void the warranty of my swift at 10,000 kms and shifted to Liqui Moly lubricants. Now ODO is around 40,000 kms and warranty is about to end

I think 10w-40 is way too thick fr this engine.5w-30 is ideal

5w30 engine oil ideal for cultus and wagon r.you can use 0w20 oil safely.as I have pour Hondas 0w20sn in my new wagonr at first oil change..

I think owners should email to suzuki Pak, while keeping suzuki Japan in Cc, regarding the correct oil grade issue and its non availability

The base oils and additives are imported therefore engine oil has not much to do with our poor refineries.

I just received a phone call from paksuzuki headoffice regarding engine oil, i was told that manual came from japan. i told them then the PTA did not do their job right as it is regulated and stamped and also has a regulatory number. i told them to give me in writing so i can take up the matter with PTA.

also the guy who called me was assitant manager warranty but he shook my faith by saying 'SIR SARAY OIL IK JAISAY HOTAY HAIN' this caught me off guard and i advised him to read a book or get a training as these grade are oil viscosities and every oil is different from other you monkey.

lets see what they write me back as i told him i do not want to speak on phone and write me whatever you have as an answer

A little addition
According to "warranty and service booklet" 5w30 SN suzuki oil can also be used

But this booklet was printed in Apri 2017. Not sure if it was updated for new cultus or not.

Owner's manual recommends multigrade 75w90 gear oil

Whereas, warranty booklet specifies only a single grade of 90 for cultus (Alto? When was that last produced by Pak Suzuki?). So, this booklet does not appear to be properly updated

My Opinions
1. Follow the bonnet sticker, because it is most probably the only custom-printed "document" for Pak Suzuki Cultus and our local driving conditions.
2. If the sticker does not carry the required info, then skip the years old warranty booklet, and go straight to the owner's manual printed for celerios (running in diverse conditions all around the world).

I am by no means questioning the judgement of ppl using imported 3rd party oils. Above suggestions are only for ppl following the Pak Suzuki's warranty track.

5w30 is available is Suzuki's packing. It is Available at all Suzuki dealerships etc. Cultus and wagonR owners should use this oil
