Agreed tht they have put the sticker saying 10w40 sg or sm is required but if u refer to owners manual it says 0w20 being ideal.but after 0w20 one can also use 5w30 which is sgo efficient.

90% engine wear tear is done in cold start. So oil is selected based on cold start temperature. All engines cooling systems tuned to maintain normal operating engine temperature in a range of 100c to 105c. Environment temperature plays very little role in this normal temperature but it plays major role in cold start temperature.

The first letter in oil recommendations is the cold start temperature and second is the viscosity (thickness). So in layman terms - it means that 5w40 will maintain the 40 viscosity even in cold start condition.

Best is to opt for synthetic oil as it doesn't break down its molecules so easily.

Engine Oils for high engine temperature is only looked for in performance cars. Not regular city cars.

Ok bro, but do confirm from an authorized person at the dealership that this would not affect ur warranty.

Anyway, we dont have much choice; just 5w30 or 10w40. We will have to follow the advice of "sticker" or service staff at the dealership to maintain warranty.

Aoa. Bro you are slightly off the mark here in explaining multigrade oils. Both of the figures before and after "w" represent viscosity indices; one for cold and the other for hot.
In 5w40, neither is temperature. 5 and 40 both are viscosity markers at opposite ends of operating temperature range.

First get it compound, hopefully situation will be much better after that and if still required then get it re-finished / touched with qalam from any good painter. job done.
White colour is very good in this respect

Why dont we all create an online petition or some other legal action to at least get these tyres replaced and make Suzuki pay us all compensation.
Any lawyer among us? I think we have a really strong case here.

Maybe I got carried away... I think I was being naive considering the pathetic state of justice and public interest in our country.

We can blame Pak Suzuki all right? But what about the corrupt government we elect? Instead of making regulatory bodies for auto industry, our "leaders" destroy already existing ones in other sectors. Companies like Suzuki are "greedy", we all know that. Its the job of our elected "representatives" to make bodies to keep them honest.

Pity. We will vote for them again and again, and then complain about Pak Suzuki and its poor quality, high prices, ill-matching tyres.....
