No once crank bearings get bad, they don't stop this noise unless they're replaced and you've to do complete crankshaft job.

And no @hassan1991 it's a single cam sohc engine without shims..

So you need to do crankshaft job along with diagnosing the fault, which caused this maybe bad oil or bad oil pump.

one more thing, sometimes I feel petrol smell in car despite running it on CNG.. is it significant?

I told u earlier that it is con rod knock. Apni tasali ke liye oil sump jis ko chamber bhi kehte hain open kerwain. Aor USTAAZ se bolare con rods ke sub big end bearings check kare.

Bhai its not Liana k jiska engine market me 25k ka bhara para hai. Ye cultus hai, iski assembly 65k+ milti hai aur hoti bhi bohat rare hai. Phir australian, singaporean etc kahan kahan ki hongi. Cultus ka engine behtreen wala bann jata hai under 40-45k.

After opening head, mechanic has told that due to less oil supply its valves and tappets are damaged. He will repair head. No issue of crankshaft or connecting rod. He clearly said no issue of engine. Now should i tell him to do anything else, if its recommanded? is there anything or instruction i should take care for repair of head

Why there was less supply of oil to head at first place. That reason should be known for sure, otherwise that new job done to head is just waste of time and money.

yup this is common sense if a thing has blocked line, it could block again... but ye baat koi mechanic nh maan rha... all are saying pump is okay.. i dont know how to convince them
